    Hello,

Just thought i'd pop in for a peek after you posted on my dairy. You're doing really fab and have enjoyed reading your diary.....it's amazing that everyone can tell us to do this and that with our money but until we realise it for ourselves then it never really happens! My OH is the same as yours, no debts, always money in the account and so on....me i'm the opposite. He always says that he wished he'd met me 5 years earlier to stop me being in such a mess, but hey ho, no looking back - only forward and we will be debt free :D

Good luck with the debt busting - i've subscribed to your diary now!

    hi choc addict,

We met when we were 22 and I've always been the same. DH has tried to put me right, but gave up pretty early on to be honest. He would never have joint bank account with me because it would cause to many arguements. So I suppose he just left me to my own devices! and as long as I could pay the bills at the end of the month I was happy . But just lately, I realised I wasn't happy when I was still overdrawn on payday!
Anyway it is working, but is bloody hard somedays. Like today I had to pop into town to get some padded envelopes to send my ebay stuff in and tried the most gorgeous dress on in monsoon. Normally I would have just bought it and it was hard to leave without it:(. Realistically I have a wardrobe full of stuff just as nice, so I really don't need it. I find i get fixated on things and actually dream about a dress, a holiday, a handbag, infact anything!!!

Sorry for rambling, it's nice to have someone to chat to in similar position!!

Good Luck, Have a good easter!:j

    Hey,

Ramble away! You can see how far you've come already though by not actually buying the dress :T It is hard and i'd rather spend all my spare money on me and having fun than throwing at the debts but i'm sick of it being the main part of my life and can't wait for the day I can have my entire wages to myself....and just the normal bills of course!

Have a great easter too, i've 5 long days off work to enjoy :j

    Good friday all,

    Off to work for me!!

Thorntons delivered freebie chocolates yesterday from tesco rewards. Massive box with 3 boxes of continentals all wrapped in fancy gauze!:j

Sold 2 of 5 items so far on Ebay!

So far, I am projected to be £600 overdrawn this month, that will be £200 less than last month.:T
On a bad note, no more extra shifts paid as over time anymore, only get bank shift rate. So we get less than you would for a normal shift during the week.

    Bye, MM

    Hey MM,

Yum to the Thorntons chocs!! Well done on the ebay items and the overdraft being 200 less than last month, it's amazing how little achievements make you feel/spur you on isn't it. Sorry to hear about your overtime shifts, such a pain....our overtime seems to have dried up at the moment, I really hope that some comes along soon.

Hope you are enjoying the first day of bank hols!

    Take care.

This will go towards paying Virgin CC as soon as the funds are it cleared.:j

Hoping I will get my SAR documentation from Sainsburys very soon for PPI. Hurry up mr postman!!!

Here's to quiet night shifts for all nurses:T.

    Hey,

Hope you are not too tired today? Great news on the ebay and mobile - all helps! Sadly i'm not an ebayer and probably never will be, just not my thing and don't think i'd ever take the time out to do it properly - naughty I know :o

On a plus note for me i've put myself down for overtime Sat and Sun - doing my bit to become debt free!!

    Have a good day :D

Didn't do so well with spending diary last week. Seem to have over spent by about £10? Kind of got mixed up somewhere because I bought 4 tickets for a gig tonight and one friend gave me in cash, another cheque and one still owes me! My head is spinning with it all. :o
Anyway, so starting the week £10 down, so this will be a new challenge for me.

Not all bad though, Got DS#2 a lovely bargain suit from Next clearance shop for prom & sixth form for £57 ( and it's washable and he likes it!).

1.Today going shopping at aldi ~ made a list for meals planned.
2.Got a cheque to pay in bank from a friend for V festival.:j134 days to go
3.Doing washing, hang outside in sunshine!
4.Do some gardening; Get lawn mower out for first time this year!!
5.Out tonight with friends to see a band!
6.Hopefully, wake up tomorrow hangover free;)!
