, I have 10 tables to dress with some sort of centerpiece but i dont know what, i cant decide between flowers, ballonns or NOTHING, is a center piece really that important? Don't bother with a centrepiece, or go for something cheap like a sprinkle of confetti or rosepetals?Present yourself, press your clothes, comb your hair, clock in

Ooooo Ive been looking for things to put these in on my tables (http://www.thorntons.co.uk/ThorntonsSite/product/Wedding%20Service_Chocolate%20Trays/2924.htm). Those bowls look ideal. I was going to use organza bags, but think these are much nicer. Thank you so much.princesswoo wrote: »Ive seen these on the dunelm website, bargain at £2.99 each, but im lost as to what i could cheaply put in them?

You could also put choccies in, I think the Thorntons trays arent too badly priced, especially as there is usually codes about to get them cheaper still (20% off at the mo I think). I was thinking of putting these in with them too http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170414363382&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT, what do you think?0 -
If you aren't quite so fussy about chocs, get to your nearest Thorntons Outlet shop - they have bags of "seconds" for £1.99 and they are always on BOGOF.
Or,I bought a box of continental chocs there this week for £2.99.Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -
For centrepieces, why not just pick up some vases in Ikea and put fresh flowers in them?
Nothing extravagant, nothing wrong with supermarket flowers for one day!
Say £2 a vase, £3 a bunch of flowers, so that's £5 a table!
You could mix the flowers too, and I LOVE babies breath (gypsophelia), it looks so pretty amongst flowers and it's dirt cheap too.
That's all we were going to do, but the venue are going to put balloons on the tables now (we wouldn't have picked balloons, they remind me of birthdays lol , but if they're free, why not!)Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Would you be happy saying where abouts in Scotland you are getting married? People might then have local contacts that might be able to help with things? Don't worry if you don't though! I live in Grampian, if thats any use?0

I'm in Scotland too. My minister is from the Spiritualist Church and is charging £40, our registrar fees are £64.
Our budget has been blown out the water too!Became Mrs Lawson on May 1st 2010
