BTW, Princess, Don't sweat it too much as your budget is still pretty cheap in the world of weddings anyway x:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

Of course you must keep the lanterns then x
The extra budget is the thing I wouldn't have (cos if I had it, I'd spend it LOL)
I thought the coloured numbers were a code I didn't get
Your price for the bridal suite is flipping good BTW!
As to flowers, the trick is not to mention the W word, if you want a nice display for your tables then I would get some cheap vases and then go to local supermarket (or M&S if flush) and get nice bunches of flowers to go in them that should set you back no more than £100. Flowers for you and BM, aim to spent no more than £75 (it can be done, local florist is doing mine for £45 and BM's for £25!)
Im getting married on a thursday - so i could get away with not mentioning the W word.
The venue is nowhere near a M&S and i wont have time to travel. The only place there is is morrisons - who sometimes do really good flowers but again i wont have time or the patience to be doing it myself.
If i do have flowers i only want gerbera's and there not the most expensive flowers in the world.
The bridal suite is nothing fancy, its a room well a bigger room than normal to hang my dress but no fancy extras like some of the rooms we have seen, but i thought a fancy room would just be a waste as we wont be in it long to appreciate it, its only somewhere to get dressed and rest our heads.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
you say your venue hires out those bowls have you thought about buying them i saw these today on gumtree if you're near london they look nice for the price http://www.gumtree.com/london/31/54503231.html
dunelm mill have fake flower bouquets that are lovely and i hate fake flowers so that is saying something.
i would pay for the drinks that are included but nothing else that would save you a bit of money

I know franny but we originally only wanted a very simple low key affair or to go abroad on the quiet but im divirced so going abraod limited our options plus family got wind of our plans and kicked up a fuss and we going to arrange a do for when we got back, which i would have hated for someone else to plan it (control freak me)
Our original (unrealistic IMHO for us) budget was £2k, then it went to £4k and i finally sat down and make a spead sheet with true figures and was shocked that it hit £9k as i have already bough BM dress and a few other things that arent on the above list.
Its amazing how things sky rocket, lol. But DF says thats my style and he expected it and it wouldnt be me if it was any other way.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

The venues fishbowls are HUGE, i have never seem them that big before. Im divorced and had fishbowls at my previous wedding so i am trying to stay away from any thing even slightly similar to that one.
I saw the flowers in dunelm and i wasnt too keen on them. We dont have to pay for the toast drink thats our choice to pay that, but we thought it would be nice for everyone to have a toast drink, well DF did anyway, I arent to fussed i know my side of the family wont drink it there more than happy with a pint of beer. So that will probably come down a bit in cost.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Don't forget quidco too...places like Ernest Jones have quite high cashback on there...as other have said check out ebay - I got lots of amazing things for my wedding - vases for the tables etc. really cheap as other brides were selling them after the wedding (and of course you can sell stuff on afterwards...).
Keep the things you really want - for example why not lose the chair covers and then you won't feel bad about splashing out on your sweetie table...
And of course have a wonderful day....

Well at least he understands
[STRIKE]Have a look at Dunelm or on Ebay for flowers to go into your fishbowls - you can get fabric gerberas and they won't take up much room in your car. [/STRIKE]
(I need to read everything before posting!) Why not have a slim vase (use a tall glass) with 2 or 3 gerberas in it?
What about undies? Does your dress have alterations in the cost? Does your BM need a tiara?0 -

The budget is just a max of what it could cost, i havent decided for definate on several things, the chair covers were only going to happen if i made a huge saving somewhere else. Which would allow me to justify it.
The local and only company for 100s miles that does the chair covers and sets them up was going to charge me £7 per cover  which is why i had a look on ebay and my friend said she would set them up.
I know deep insode it about me and DF declaring that we want to be together forever, but i dont want to look back in a year or 2's time and say - darn i wish i had got the chair covers. It sounds very petty i know.
What do people do with their centerpieces when the day is over? give them away but who to? I was thinking that if i got balloons then i could give 1 to each child that will be coming, iinstead of giving to the adults, i love kids and my whole day is more kid orientated that adult orientated.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

The underwear is covered in my ''extras'' budget.
My alterations are included in my dress budget - i have paid £90 to have ''any'' amount of alterations done.
I have made all our tiaras myself.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

I think that would be a fab idea - why not see if you can get some wedding bubbles for the tables too? (think one of the pound shops have had them in, or on Ebay)0
