When you dial the ring and reserve service, option one allows you to check stock and prices instore (rather than going straight to a reservation). Just do what I did in the Kendal store, turn up with the number and insist the manager rings it and check it for himself (I offered him 10p for the call). It would be a 'jobsworth' manager who could argue that the price at his till is correct and not the one on the central computer.
Mind you I was only spending £3.25 (full price £12.99)All the World is a Stage; and I'm going through a difficult one at the moment!0 -
I'm a little confused - will the items listed on Argos.co.uk under the clearence section be reduced further when a "proper" RO list is out - or is that itself the "proper" RO list?
I've reserved a few things but I wouldn't like to buy them only for a real RO list to appear discounting them even more..0 -

Mincer, you'll have to teach me your secret. Every time I've tried this at the Kendal store they always dig their heels in quoting "The price you pay is the price in store on the day". Not once have they relented.0 -
Went to the Shrewesbury store yesterday, to return some stainless steel, dishwasher proof knives that had rusted (!), I asked to see the RO list and 1/2 hour later (due to printing it off) an 1/2 inch thick printout was placed in front of me !!
Everything appeared 50% off at least, but no real mega bargains.
One thing that stuck out was a TMNT Battleshell (kids toy) for £4.99, was £24.99, so a hefty reduction. My boy already had one, so no need to get one.
If you need something, 50% is pretty good!
Get there early, ask politely when it's quiet, and you get to have a good rummage.
Had my heart set on a digi-camera but nothing stood out0 -

Indeed. R&R for the items I'd reserved on the 'Net was showing the store price.0 -

My argument with the manager was that I'd turned up the same day and the R&R line was still saying it was £3.25. If the wording was "The price you pay is the price in store(full stop)", I may have come unstuck.
However if you can't get them to phone their own ring and reserve line, then you can't argue the point because you can't prove it.All the World is a Stage; and I'm going through a difficult one at the moment!0 -

I asked earlier in the Beckton store and as usual was told it's not for the customers:(
Don't suppose anyone works for Argos here that can bring a copy home and take a picture of it or something for all to see?:DDarren0 -
I have the Sony 20gb MP3 Player reserved! Plenty of stock of it in Northern Ireland still!
Not sure if I will buy it! Although a half price reduction ain't bad!0 -
Does anyone know if the Eyetoy in the clearence @ £14.99 comes with any games?
I got the York 26KG Barbell/Dumbell set @ £9.99 and a shelving unit for £29.99 no problems today - both half price.0
