Do not deal with this verbally, either do not answer the telephone or use the broken record technique: WHATEVER the letting agency say repeat "please put that into writing". I rather suspect they will not want proof of making unsubstantiated allegations that you have stolen property.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

all sorted apparently
they txt me afterwards saying they had spoken to the tenants and they had everything back.
i saw my solicitor and he went over the contracts and listened to voicemails and texts etc
hes said we should:
1. the garuntor ( my nan ) speak to them and arrange a meeting to view the flat as she viewed it and helped me move both in and out and she actually did the final clean there so she knows 100%
she is also taking a support worker as someone independant too.
me and my fiancee and daughter will stay away from it for now unless:
1. they refuse to let the garuntor inspect this " damage "
2. they send the bill and take the deposit anyways
3. they cant prove they didnt seperately bank the bond away from there day to day or savings accounts ( from day 1 )
if any of those happen it will be going to a small claims court and i quote my solicitor...
" hopefully if it does come to that, they will see a legal professional who will explain that, without proof they have had that deposit secured then the penalty that would be incured would be more than the value of the bond "
also the contract says a few things that they have breached etc
my solicitor is 100% confident that if we cant get what we aim for out of court, that in court we will for sure.
im returning there keys in a recorded delivery envelope
and from now on 99% of communication will be written and logged.
this all pretty much confirms the advice given on this board!!
cheers guys and i will keep you all updated with it as we go!
