My grandfather worked for a company making canned soup. One day on his rounds he came across a woman crying. She was sitting 8' up at the top of the ladder pushing the thing which stired the VAT of soup. He asked what was wrong. She said she had sneezed and her false teeth had dropped into the soup. The manager was called and he ordered the soup to be finished and canned.
The teeth were found in the drain so all the gallons of soup had passed by them.
Two well known brands and a shop brand - better not say which
ps This happened in the 1950's - i'm sure it wouldn't happen these daysDoing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
Old sewers, such as belong to most houses in this country, love thin, cheap toilet paper. They hate thick toilet paper. Thick toilet paper may cause blockages eventually. It's not really about how much paper you put down the loo at any one time in normal use.
Interesting about the average number of sheets per flush, though!
12:eek: 12 you say:eek: OMG
you need a to do what i do.
for a guy doing a Number 2.
THE 2 SHEET RULE
1. Rip 2 YES 2 sheet off fold to form 1 sheet.
2. Wipe.
3. Fold in half (dirty side in)
4. Wipe
5. Fold in half again
6. Wipe
7. Fold again
8. Should just get the last bit off.
9. Throw down loo.
10. Lift trousers
11. Wash hands
12. Then pick your nose.
FOR GIRLS
You dont need a handful your only tiny !!
The sponge i use to wash my truck is smaller !!!
2 sheets for you lot i say.
And if its just the front your wiping then put paper on rad to dry ready to be used for a number 2 !!!
NOW THAT IS A MONEY SAVING TIP !!!
more than that and you bring your own when you come to mine.
Just a thought....
Mybe thats why im single
Will make a video and post it on here so look out for it. !!!0 -

Mine eat Felix and Whiskas, but won't touch Asda or Tesco's own for some reason, so I presume they aren't the same? Any info would be good.
Does anyone know for certain if Go-Cat biscuits are repackaged as anything else too? Mine love them but they are pricey compared with the supermarkets own brands - spesh when you have 12 cats to feed like I do!
Im sayin NOWT !!! 12  I bet its fun at your house, EEK indeed !!!!0 -

From reading the bulk of posts on this topic it seems there's a lot of people out there with seriously rubbish diets. Where food is concerned, I say buy local, buy from small producers & buy organic wherever possible.
Unfortunately I live in the middle of the countryside; I also work full time and have a house, partner, cat & dragon to look after as well as a p/t uni course and keeping fit. Small producers just simply are not open the hours I need plus I find them very expensive and from what I hear organic isn't always what it is cracked up to be.
On another note, a clothing label called INFULENCE (often seen in the ‘cheaper clothes shops’ i.e. market stalls, is sold in some high street fashion stores. I have seen the clothes for sale in Bay Trading, New Look with the INFLUENCE label still in them!
My Boyf used to work at Phillips and he said they used to make parts that went into most TV sets including Bang and Olsen!
Did anyone see the Horizon program where they compared anti ageing creams? £130 one against a £16 one - guess which one won? The £16.00 from Boots - No7 Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum which has now sold out and is very hard to find!!

I used to work for KP and can confirm that ALL potato rings are manufactured by KP as they have the patent on them and the only difference is slight variations in amount of flavour and packaging....The same applies to lots of their other snacks such as Skips, Space Raiders etc0

I bought Novatech's (http://www.novatech.com) own brand 32" hi-def LCD telly last year for about £599 and when it was delivered it turned out to be the Hyundai Q321 telly (was then about £849) in a hyundai box etc. This doesn't sound that remarkable until I realised the the HYundai Q321 is a rebadged Marantz LC3201e which retailed for around the £1500 mark. There are absolutely no styling differences between the 2 and the spec was identical.
check them both out for yourselves!
I think Novatech are no longer selling it as their own brand but are listing as the Hyundai Q321, but I believe it's now down to £549 (for a £1500 telly!!)
Not sure if many other products are rebadged twice!0 -
my friends dad is a chemist and works for clarins they make all the face creams etc for m&s
also gucci make all their belts0 -
My friend use to work for a bakery place where they packed loaf's of bread for supermarkets, she said all the bread was the same but they'd just stick different supermarket name packaging around it. She also said if you ever see a loaf of bread with a white tag around the top then don't buy it as it was probably packaged for one company and then re-packaged for a different company so it's not as fresh.0
