Vince Cable was on Sky and said that as Osbourne had not actually given any figures then his speech did not mean much. He suggested that if he is going to cut 1-2b this year then it would not make much differenece but if he is going to cut say 20B then it could harm the recovery.

Also Darling said on Sky the other day that cuts next year were non negotiable. Blanchflower one of 60 economists said that we should not start cutting to we see growth of 3%. based on Jan Data it seems unlikely there will much growth this year and not much between July/Aug when the Tories will start cutting and early next year when Labour start cutting.

Therefore whats the big issue. I could understand if Darling was with the likes of Blanchflower i.e no cuts until reasonable growth but he says hes going to cut early next year what evers going on by the sound of it.

It seems to me that some people just hate Osbourne and are just jumping on the band wagon against him.

Also unless I'm mistaken the IMF has not said his plans are wrong probably because he has not actually set out any real plans yet.

And every year we blow 12% of GDP is another 4 years (of normal growth) to wait until "the time to do something" happens.

Spookily enough, the tories went up in the polls before Ozzy was Camerooned - maybe the great GBP have a faint idea that borrowing until something turns up isn't a really great idea...

Don't forget that all politicians are lying f*cking thieves.

They do not care about you, your children or even the country.

All they want is to be elected and continue to ride the gravy train.

Without monetry reform, it doesn't matter who gets elected.
