I think it would be really good to have 2 threads for this.
One for the offers ONLY and one for discussion.
It great to discuss the films and problems with the links etc. but it would be easier if there was one clean thread to find the offers.
Just an idea.0 -

Academy Award-winning director Oliver Stone tells the true story of the heroic survival and rescue of two Port Authority policemen – John McLoughlin and Will Jimeno – who were trapped in the rubble of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, after they went in to help people escape. The film also follows their families as they try to find out what happened to them, as well as the rescuers who found them in the debris field and pulled them out. Their story shows how the best in people rose above the tragic events of that day.

Agreed.
Might also stop or reduce the same free screening offer being repeatedly duplicated.
Personally I found it easier/better when this thread didn't exist and all free cinema screenings were posted as individual threads.
This kept individual threads to a reasonable length that dropped down the forum once the event had taken place.
Each "current" film offer was easier to find.
This also seemed to ease the duplicate posting thing. There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

Thanks a lot! I'm supposed to be seeing this tonight with my OH who hates depressing films - I'm not mad on very violent films myself - but I would've preferred to find out for myself what it was like.
Can posters please remember that not everyone has tickets for the same night before they start talking about a film they've seen already.0 -

I emailed Andrea about this this morning so still waiting on a reply0 -
Maybe it's just something about this particular film then - Riyazi isn't the first poster to do more than say 'it was great' or 'I didn't like it'. But my original comment is the same - not everybody is going to see the film on the same night so I add my voice to those who are asking for a thread purely for the ticket codes and another for comments. I have commented on a movie I've seen in this thread but it'd be better to have them separate.

I am very sorry that you felt this way about my post. I was very careful not to give any plot points and was just describing the movie in general - which is what you would find in any review of this movie and in particular the one which accompanied the free ticket posts. Please find below the extract from post no 771 with the words highlighted
"Children of Men envisages a world one generation from now that has fallen into anarchy on the heels of an infertility defect in the population. The world's youngest citizen has just died at 18, and humankind is facing thelikelihood of its own extinction.
Set against a backdrop of London torn apart by violence and warring nationalistic sects, Children of Men follows disillusioned bureaucrat Theo (Clive Owen) as he becomes an unlikely champion of Earth's survival. When the planet's last remaining hope is threatened, this reluctant activist is forced to face his own demons and protect her from certain peril."
I think the above clearly says much more than what I did and I find it absolutely (forgive me for saying this) ridiculous that you felt so angry about my post. I hope you go to the movie and that you are able to make up your own mind about it. I particulary loved it but it was my wife who felt it was violent and depressing and despite it, liked the movie.
To the others - sorry for the long post.I have learnt that living life to the fullest gives you a much better high than alcohol or drugs !0 -
oh btw - I fully support the idea that this thread should be seperated in to 2 - one for the offers and one for the discussion. Also i think Angelundercover should have the 2nd post of a new thread (1st for the rules) which he/she can edit to keep it up to date (that is removing screenings that have elapsed, adding new screening codes, etc) since he/she is already doing a super duper excellent job of the preview updates.I have learnt that living life to the fullest gives you a much better high than alcohol or drugs !0
