I see you have all been busy! I am still around people, my life is a bit hectic, and my sanity has been called into question quite a few times recently (mainly by me).

The debt has grown, and there was nothing I could do to stop it. The situation at home has been tense.

I have missed my friends on here

life is always throwing stuff at me. The problem I have is I have no means to dig myself out of this mess in the long term. Its like throwing a cup of water over a forest fire. I need a viable second income of at least £300 a month. As I am working full time, I have no skills other than what I do for a living I have no real time or finances to fund anything I am treading water.

I have told the wife that she needs to look for either part time or full time work but that's like most people. The difference is she is not interested. If anyone has any suggestions I would welcome them

    Hi
I used to lurk on here, and wondered where you were. Well done on staying clean, and hope you find a way through the rest of it.

Hey William...another lurker and sometime poster here. Sounds like you're having it tough at the minute. I'm really sorry about that. Your OH needs to start earning something now. Am I remembering rightly that she now knows you have some debts? Surely she feels that she should be contributing if she can??

I'll be upfront and say that sometimes your wife sounds like she is very hard on you and doesn't pull her weight in this relationship. Perhaps you will have to sit down and lay all the cards on the table. If she still won't help you both through this tough time then that's really not fair on you. What you do next has to be down to you but it sounds like the problem can't be ignored any longer if your debts are increasing. At some point things will come to a head won't they?

Anyway I hope things start to look up for you x

Hello well done on everything Mr W. Continue to stay positive. I have to get my thinking cap on. Does your wife like baking? how about making cakes for friends and parties?
