My pet peeve is people who use their disability as a way of trying to get whatever they want. Making allowances (or even going 'above and beyond') for disabled people is fine but I hate it when some people try and milk their disability as much as they can to make unreasonable claims that they're entitled to preferential treatment.

The advice I give on here is based on my many years in the preservation industry. I choose to remain anonymous, I have no desire to get work from anyone. No one can give 100% accurate advice on a forum if I get it wrong you'll get a sincere apology and that's all:D

  • Maybe she bought the house on the cheap I mean do the council not give a huge discount off flats and houses if you rent from them.

This reminds me of back in the day after 'right to buy' for council tenants was introduced. A friend of mine who worked in the local council planning department told me that for years after people bought their council houses, some would phone the council whenever something broke in their houses and expect them to come and fix it. For nothing, natch.

Was someone with a disability I had the issue with today. Already got a lot more than other people would have from our department too.
