Nothing Is for Free

Just a small vent about people who seem to expect everything should be free for them.

I had someone screaming and shouting at me today saying they want a Engineer sent out to there property asap as her boiler had stopped working. I then followed by asking if the lady had homecare which she replied no I then asked how would she like to pay for the repair in that case.

She replied " I get my gas from you."

At this point I agreed that she did. The customer then demanded an engineer should be provided for free because of this....

I explained that was not the case she then said the magic words

" I'm on benefits"

After trying to make things very simple that a repair would cost money she started screaming im on benefits you idiot. I then said " good for you"

I received dogs abuse and terminated the call.

I really dispare of the lack of knowledge of general money management and financial matters.

I had to let that out :p

  • Maybe she bought the house on the cheap I mean do the council not give a huge discount off flats and houses if you rent from them.

I know not everyone is the same but there are some that use "I'm on benefits" as an excuse to try to wriggle out of anything. Like in the OP, if told it doesnt make any difference they just keep repeating it and adding a but in front of it like that will make any difference.

I bought some petrol at a BP station this morning, do you think they come and rescue me if I break down? After all, I do my petrol there? lol

Would you crash your car and take car insurance ?

I hear that a lot many pensioners are quite well off, I accept lots arent but people use it as an excuse to get things cheap

Lots of people are on benefits and have to make ends meet, but then many on low incomes that work arent much better off, sometimes worse off

Regardless of what income is there is no excuse to be rude and insulting to people just doing there job
