With regards to the stuck pixel issue, unfortunately they're quite common and there are guidelines on how many dead/stuck pixels are allowable before you can ask for a repair or replacement, it's defined in an ISO standard. That said, I have seen some retailers and manufacturers offering a '0 dead pixel' guarantee, it's not the norm though.
