Yuk - that does actually make me feel sick
Me too. (and I have a tummy bug so really shouldn't be reading this thread! :rotfl:)
Although I learnt a useful tip from the OS boards recently about how to get rid of the hair that blocks the plughole....just put a bit of hair removal cream down the plughole, leave for few hours and rinse - job done!

I've just picked the chicken just before I read this, with 3 cats and a dalmatian under my feet! hehe
My worst job ever and it gets left for ages is pairing socks!! I hate it! I have a big basket in my room and all the socks get thrown in there until we more or less run out and I HAVE to do it! lol
I hate pairing socks too, and always try to hang them up to dry in pairs, then as I take them down I quickly fold the top of one sock over it's partner - only takes a few extra seconds and makes such a difference.I have also started buying patterned socks after spending ages wearing black socks, which somehow don't just match up - different lengths, shades of black, fading etc! Odd socks go in a bag with other odd socks and ocasionally get tipped out on the bed and paired up.
I am struggling to think of a 'worst' job - I hate housework in general, so don't do much of it! Cleaning the cooker is possibly the worst, though getting gunk out the plughole is pretty bad too. I am glad the Landlord finally agreed to replace the carpet in the kitchen with lino, as trying to get spilled cooking oil out of a carpet is IMPOSSIBLE...Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -

I don't like "faffy cooking" - i like cooking in general but a couple of things I make, like lentil pasties, are just really fiddly and time consuming. super cheap though!
I was going to suggest that, too!
Can I have the recipe please for lentil pasties, they sound like just my thing!

I'm with LameWolf on cleaning shoes. I don't know why I hate it so much, I just try not to do it for as long as I can get away with. And when I can't put it off any longer, I always end up with shoe polish on my hands (even if I wear gloves :-), on my clothes, or later on my socks as I never seem to do it correctly. When I grew up, my Dad sometime took pity on me and did them for me. And I lived in Turkey for several years, where a man came round on Saturdays: you just left all your shoes out on the doorstep and he did them perfectly for a small fee! What a service, it was really worth every penny.
My other pet hate is cleaning cobwebs off the ceiling - too many of those in an old French farmhouse! Yuk."Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -
Mine is the recycle caddy, I get the idea of putting the scraps into it but it turns my stomach when I have to empty it, the idea is that we empty it straight into the recycle bin, tried that and in the summer two weeks of leftovers = nasty creepy things multiplying in the bin - are allowed to wrap it in newspaper though.
Newspaper spread over work top, empty caddy into it, cue my stomach contracting, all those teabags, potato peelings, left overs etc I know its OS to recycle but sometimes I just want to chuck it all into a carrier bag and put it in the rubbish binwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

No, you're not the only one. I wouldn't give one house roomI must be the only person in the Western world who does not own a microwave and refuses to get one! Somehow, it feels like it is not real cooking!
I think my worse chore is decorating. Can't say that I enjoy a lot of other things, but there's nothing that I really hate having to do. The decorating is such a big job though, and then there's all the cleaning of brushes, rollers afterwards. I put a coat of paint on the kitchen ceiling last week, and have another coat to do. Then there's the walls and woodwork. It's daunting just thinking about it
