  • I would recommend https://www.paspic.com for passport photos. You send them your digital picture of yourself and they print it up on good quality paper and send it to you, ensuring that it is the right size & format. Works for UK, US, or EU passports. I used their service and was impressed.

I received my replacement passport last week, and commented to my husband how miserable he looked in his possport photo. He said that you were not now supposed to smile, but I can't remember reading anything about that ... and surely if it was not acceptable, they would not have put it onto my replacement passport & returned it to me????

I must admit, I'm getting a little worried, now: supposed to be going away in a few weeks. Can anyone advise, please? (Thanks!)

    Hi,

This was taken from the UKPA website, regarding the photo.

The photographs must show, A neutral expression, with your mouth closed (no obvious grinning, frowning or raised eyebrows).

A colleague of mine got his photos refused because he was smiling, if you've already got your replacement, then you wouldn't have anything to worry about at immigration.

Go into Boots, take a headshot photo with your phone, use the bluetooth to transfer it to their machine, pick the "4 photos on a sheet" option, and its yours for 49p.
