Where abouts in Austria Adam? I have been to Mayerhofen a few times & Zell am See.

Bad Mittendorff, which is in Styria. About 80 minutes from Salzburg. It's a small village, full of the same people so we're remembered when we go back - not always for good reasons though haha

I feel ok really, just frustrated that I can't clear it quicker. I think the one thing I must ensure I learn between now and financial freedom is patience!

  • Woo woo i used to have them days and as red says what a waste of time that is !! why berate ourselves, it will be gone soon and while its not a pretty site we have roofs and clothes and food so we are doing ok, no one is banging the door now and the numbers are reducing so its always a plus...

Ive just updated my sig, i may hit the 20k mark this month for the total pay off and that works out on average 10k a year pay off and that is depressing times for me :O i am not working at a pace of 10k a year i will have to up the game !! i could frustrate myself thinking longer than anticipated but after this months egg loan payment it is practically paid the loan will be halfed so then october i can increase another loan payment if im able or start chucking at a credit card to get rid of them

I know people say pay the biggest intrest first but i may wipe my egg card 828, and then i can close it down and then i feel like i have shifted some more debtors i know it doesnt make sense but i want to feel like ive achieved something, the other credit cards are a range of 1500 to 1800 for me and ohs are 5k 5k 2k and 1200 so the bigger numbers take some time to realy start seeing numbers depelet well 10 months for some ... the annoying thing is virgin either offer minimum payment or pay in full which is down right ridiculous lol i dont fancy them attempting to take 5k in one foul swoop lol... my plan is as follows, from october i will pay the egg card, then i will commence on the virgin but i wonder do i pay the mint and barcaly they are 14% intrest and then transfer a balance to it ? or is that just a waste of time and effort... im forever planning ways in my head but the truth of the matter is i dont like having to pay the money back but thats just how it is eh lol :) onwards and downward my numbers are coming out on the lottery tonight so come tomorrow il be studying which house to buy lol :) x

I can't believe Virgin can even do that, just proves what a bunch if robbing scumbags they really are, I think that's disgusting.

I know what you mean about paying off some of the smaller ones even if they aren't the highest interest, sometimes it's just better for your morale to do it that way so you can get it closed, with the larger ones it feels like no matter how many pennies or pounds you throw at it the balance still remains in the £1000's!
