  • The Marriott has a hot tub and is right next to the piste, you can watch people on the lifts while you sit in it. You can ski (sorry board) in and out.

Hmmm, now can YOU see how I ran up so much debt!
  • By the way, not a criticism, but how do you get to post so much while you are at work? I will be very quiet when I am back.

I do it from my iphone mostly as our internet usage is monitored. I am sat in my own office by myself which helps as well! I do feel like a right slacker some days, but as long as all my work is done by 5.00 p.m who cares!

  • Not me!

I was supposed to get an iphone for my birthday, last night I was told we couldn't really afford it now! Typical. I should point out that my husband has 2 phone contracts, he got an iphone years ago and still hasn't cancelled the old contract. Now we are debt busting he is finally on the case.

    Have a good day!

    Morning Adam

Morzine & Avoriaz is my favourite place at the moment, my OH spent 7 weeks out there last Christmas just snowboarding so I flew out a couple of times. Have you ever done Whistler? We keep looking but the supplements for a couple are ridiculous and I refuse to pay them!

I used to ski and only switched to boarding a couple of seaons ago, I could never go back to ski's and those awful boots now!

Never done whistler myself, but have a friend in Kitchener - I really would love to go to Canada at some point though!

3 times a year? How? I managed that once!

My friend has a villa in Austria and so I only have to pay for the lift pass and contribute to petrol (as we drive there). :)

Very true Red, I don't really regret any of it, in fact I had a lot of fun running up my debt!

That's not to say I haven't learnt my lesson though, I honestly have.

I will be able to do so much more fun stuff when I don't have to hand all my hard earned cash over to Lloyds in interest!

I feel the same. I regret the trouble I'm in, but I had fun doing it and had a lot of life experences I can no look back on!

I think I'm both when I look back on it.

I would definitely re-think the clothes and TVs etc but given the choice on the travelling I've done I would make the same choice over and over again....

    Now I'm worried...does that mean I haven't learnt?!
Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j
  • Hi beccie no i dont think it does i think utilising spends for experiences such as travelling is something that will be paid back and remebered, on the other hand like you say tvs , clothes and things well i cant see myself having the chance spending like i did on them sort of things, thats just life isnt it we have learned from it and what a time to be learning, we are in a good postion clearing debts while lifes not relaly moving anywhere in economic climate so by the time things are turned around i imagine half of the mse customers will also be turned around and ready to enjoy the rides, i love the i phone for internet access its a flaming god send !!
