Hey Woo, I have been through it with DH (we was B**rd H at one point!). We went to (and still do every 6 months) to relate and it is FAB. They are not all about keeping you together UNLESS it's the right thing for you both. They are really supportive and luckily for us, we worked it all out. It took a lot of time, DH moving to his mums, then back, me moving to my Aunties, then my mums then back. Just really think about it all and talk to a professional if you are still confused, it really does help. xx

I am going to change the way I make my overpayments, these will now be saved until the end of the month and then sent to Lloyds. I'm fending for myself now so can't risk not having any cash in the bank.

I am still 100% committed to becoming debt free.

  • That sounds like a very sensible plan Woo, it's what I'm doing (for different reasons, I don't want to be in a position where I have forgotten about a payment or be caught short in an emergancy etc). We all know you are 100% committed but when circomstances change so must methods xxx

Glad you are feeling better today. You are handling things very well - and whatever you think it is far braver to walk away from a "wrong" situation than stay in it to keep the peace. This will be for the best one way or another - either will help you resolve all the issues and you'll be stronger for it, or allow you both to move on (in time, of course) whilst you are still young enough to meet someone who wants the same things as you, and for the same reasons. If you go back to him now you'll be doing so because you want to, not because you were too frightened to leave.

Anyway, enough of that now, I'm sure you must want to think of something else! What plans do you have for the weekend?

Oh an By the way, I watched the Bristol Come Dine With Me you told me about - jeepers creepers. My and BF sat with mouths agape throughout! What on earth did she think she looked like???

OMG EB wasn't it awful, I just kept thinking !!!!!! didn't she look in the mirror!!!

Well tomorrow will be my 4th trip to Ikea this week to pick up a bed frame, which my Dad is helping me to put together and will no doubt involved a lot of swearing!

My parents have been fantastic, they gave me £600 to purchase furniture and I don't have to pay them back.

That's really nice of your parents to help you get set up :) Hope you're taking advantage of the yummy meatballs at Ikea :D I'm considering going to our local one to stock up on meatballs for the freezer, even though we don't really need anything except some tealights! :rotfl:

    Hi Woo

How nice are your parents - you are very lucky to have them :)

Do you need it all towards furniture?
