if you're worried about leaving yourself stoney broke why not pay £500 or so off the card, put the rest in your Halifax to stop you getting charged there and then transfer it over when you next get paid.

but you can achieve that in a few extra weeks and not build yourself up into a panic in the mean time. Best of both worlds.

I know but i like my hair to be cut i like my eyebrows done i dont smoke i dont go out every week and yet i feel guilty when i do spend i want to finish bits in the house its bloody embarrassing when your getting nowhere fast i justdont know what to do lately its ridiculous

Happy we all have days like that when it seems more backwards than forwards. The only thing i can suggest is to budget. i have a crafting habit so to be able to afford it last year i put aside all the amounts that my receipts said i had 'saved' it came to about £300 in a year. You can't tell me that you can't get your hair done and eyebrows done for that, AND you won't feel so guilty because it's what you've saved on your household shopping by being canny.
