    Hi Herewego

The direct debit is already cancelled as it is my old Lloyds account, I moved to Natwest when I started debt busting and cancelled all my Lloyds Direct Debits.

Called Lloyds earlier and they advised that National Trust can actually reinstate the direct debit, so I need to make sure that the money is in there so I don't get charged.

My sister is going to pay for it for my birthday. It's made me feel sad but I need to remember that money and things don't matter, where as getting debt free does. I need to focus on all the lovely weekends I can have with my sister visiting places.

If she is willing to pay thats great, maybe you could try getting a few free months out of them for the inconvenience its caused you. I love using National trust for walks and keep saying i will join but its not priority at the moment as we have lots of great free walks nearby.

I think that is an excellent idea, I will send them a letter tomorrow asking them for some extra months for the inconvenience x

If you dont ask you dont get :D
Just say you dont use the account and it could have caused you to overdrawn, having worked in banks several years ago if you have cancelled the DD it cant be set up again without your signature on a new mandate

  • Hi, have just subscribed to your thread. I have not long started my own diary and someone recommended I check out yours! Its great that you have been finding so much change! wow. I must admit I look out for change when I am out walking my dog! I found about 23p two weeks ago, so not bad!

Hope all is well, and good luck with the debt busting

Sent a letter today on behalf of me and my sister to the National Trust stating that in light of the inconvenience they have caused me they should restart my membership from May this year.

If you don't ask you don't get after all!

    Hi JC

Thanks for subscribing, I walk my dog past a pub everyday, which I think helps on my mission to find all the missing pennies in the world! Haven't had any this week though, gutted!

What's your diary called, I will pop in and check it out!

My friend at work emptied her draw today and gave me £1.32, bless her.

I also sold some gold today and made £40, which of course I paid off Lloyds.

Found a penny on the floor this morning for the first time this week, was starting to think my good luck had run out!

I am meant to be doing a car boot tomorrow, I have 4 pairs of brand new shoes to sell. I knew when I brought them they were too high for me and I would never wear them, but they were so pretty!
