hey hiphouse hope they change ur feedback ;-( i've just listed 6 average paperbacks at 1p each on amazon - not sold there before so have no idea what the postage costs are going to be....if i get 1.41 from amazon after fees is it reasonable to expect i would clear 50p from each one if they sell?

I am selling PS games on Amazon. Postage for them is £0.90 first class/ £0.76 2nd and £0.21 per padded envelope (bulk buy on ebay), so that would leave you with 30p/ 44p profit. Postage obviously depends on weight though, and size, and once it's over 25mm thick needs to be sent as packet instead of large letter and you won't have any profit left or worse it'll cost you money, so better check details on Royal Mail now before you sell any - I am speaking out of experience, managed to sell a paperback on ebay with nearly £1 loss last week...

sweetpeas, good luck with the second job, hope you get it and it fits in with what you do. I think I am going to have to give up my main job - avon sales leader and look for an office based job that pays a salary, so wish me luck with that!

If its not too late Id like to try for £5 a day :)

It's not too late, I have added your name to the list. Just work out the number of days x £5, for your total.

Then add it to your signature. :)

Good day yesterday - Earned £43 overtime. Very long day, up at 5am, did not get home until 9pm. Not the best, but money in the bank! Also got £12.40 on eBay. Will only add the overtime to my signature and will wait for more to appear on paypal before I transfer.

Good start to the month so far...... fingers crossed for the other 27 days!

    £1.60 on Ebay today.

Thanks all for messages of support re: my unsuccessful job application. Good luck to all those going for jobs.

Hiphouse - I hope the buyer withdraws their very unfair feedback. I think you've done the right thing contacting the buyer in the way you have, but if they don't withdraw the feedback it might be worth you contacting Amazon customer services. I've had negative feedback removed a couple of times when its been blatantly unfair - ie someone complaining about postage charge which is set by Amazon. From memory I didn't outright ask them to remove the feedback - I just described the situation, said how unfair I thought it was & asked them if there was anything that could be done to help me. By the way I wouldn't worry about lowering the value of the book by removing the price unless it is a very expensive Antiquarian book, but in the price range of your book it's unlikely to make a difference. Good Luck - let us know how you get on.
