    Evening all

Fraid I had to do a skim read as not had chance to catch up. Managed to get card made for SIL which I will get blogged at some point but had to buy  one for my friend which I feel awful about.

Life has taken over rather at the moment as children went back to school on Monday and DS is falling apart at the seems. He goes up into Juniors in September which is a different school. As the school is so big (90 children per year group) they basically split it into two completely seperate schools. He doesn't do change and the not knowing is tearing him apart. To make matters worse they take all three classes and mix them up again so he also has no idea who he is going to be with. It is manifesting itself in him feeling unwell and him getting horrific nightmares. OH is sleeping downstairs and DS is in with me, poor little mite seems to spend half his night crying, even when he's asleep.

Sorry for my out pouring but as a mom you just want to protect them and I feel so helpless. The infant school are being really supportive which is great and I have a meeting next week with the Juniors and hopefully he is going to get an early tour around which may help him out.

Right sorry out pouring over with and must get back to clearing up the kitchen. Out all day tomorrow and DS has friend coming for tea and then Saturday is the school fete so I shall be out from 10.00 - 5.00 setting up, maning and tidying away.

3 quickies. Does anyone have a cute baby boy image or stamp that I could beg a couple of images of at all please. Friend is having her baby boy on Monday so need to get a card made?

Has a new challenge been set on here at all as I haven't seen anything of late?

And with regards to the footie I love it and long may England continue to be in it. Reason - Tesco's is empty on match nights!!! Guess where I was last Saturday night and will be tomorrow night?

Hope veryone well and enjoying this sunshine.

    X

Please don't apologise, Tired Mom, there's no need. We all feel frustrated with life at times and need to let the steam out of our ears.
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!

Tiredmom - I've got this one - PM me if you want it.

Also, meant to say we had a similar problem with DD each time she moved schools, after discussing it with the schools, we found that the schools were more than happy to allow her to have at least one special friend in her class. It seems to be fairly standard practice for this to happen. Her junior school also did the "mix up" thing every year, but were quite sympathetic to her obvious worries. I hope that a visit to the junior school and a reassurance that your son will be with other friends will help ease his worries.

:rotfl: at Wifey & Marg - I much prefer the village PO but as had paid for DD to be at the out of school club for an hour nipped into main Grimsby one when I left work - machine is stupid and if you want proof of posting you have to join the queue  Nearly got lynched in there the other week as it has a cheese queue for the main counter and had a ticket for foreign travel so had to elbow my way through the masses as it was called straight away :p

Hope your littley is ok Tired Mom- they only change schools here at 11 and DD will get a big shock as there are under 100 kids in her school at the mo up to year 6 and there will be at least that many in a year at the high school

Tired Mom - sorry your little son is so stressed about the impending changes such a big event for a child - surely by now they must know who is going to each school so you can reassure him he wont be on his own. Hope you can get some help from the new school.

Choccy - I had a punch that stuck after punching about 6 flowers & took it back to the shop - the woman was not helpful hitting it with her scissors to try & free it up:eek:, then tried to tell me it was 'cos I'd punched waxed paper (I'd done that to try & free it up!). She did give me the address of her supplier so I emailed them, offering to send it back but it would be dear as it was heavy. They didn't want it back & I got a replacement the next day! So after that ramble it must be worth a try.

Some nice freebies there Thank you Padster

Tiredmom - Sending hugs to you and your DS, how awful :(

Choccy - is it the nellie sneddon punches (flower & leaf) from the NEC? mine are awful :( they don't emboss and they stick in all of the time :( very poor quality and I think it was craftfairy (fiddle farts mate) who had similar problems.

Right just a quicky from me as I need to get started with food prepping for bbq tomorrow (yes I can have proper food for 1 meal only I can't wait! :j)

    Freebie from SJ musings here

And for those of you who are on facebook, if you follow Maurie J Manning, then she has a sneek attack freebie which is available for 24 hours of a cute boy waiting by the window, she does this occasionally and then will put them in her shop to buy! She did ask that people didn't link to the stamp so I have respected that!

hope everyone has a fab day, and incase I don't get back on later hope you all have a good weekend! xxx
