Rusty - I've been racking my brain for an idea for you & can't find anything - depends a bit what sort of chap he is & if you know his interests, have you any nice photo's you could use a country scene? A train? Oh! what about making a crossword type grid image & filling in the letters 'After your operation' then it leaves you free to put 'get well soon' on the inside. Sorry, that's the best I can think of at the moment........

Good morning everyone, just about! Late start for me, a day out always takes it out of me and I need to recover a bit the next day.

Anyway, had a quick look through the new posts. Sorry for snipping both these messages.
Also, I bought a die cut decoupage sheet to make my dad's father's day card and I've put it together but it's bleaurgh - I'm going to take it of off the card and try something else with it. I'll stick it on my blog and if anyone has any ideas of how I can improve things, they'd be greatfully appreciated.

I got my Promarker storage from Letraset this morning and am going to order somemore. They currently have 20% off and this code takes a futher 10% off RPT5730

Oh and I won the ISC challenge, so will be able to buy some new stash without parting with real money!!:j

I know what you mean, I sometimes make a card that I'm very unhappy with. I've had a look at your Father's Day card and I think you're being too harsh on yourself. It's appropriate, it's humourous and it all goes together very well. The only thing I could think of is that there is rather a lot of green. Maybe the base of the easel card would be better if it had some DP on it, a bit more subdued in colour, something like a paler green check maybe?????

I've found the perfect storage for my Promarkers. The Co-op have some of their Truly Irrestable tomatoes in clear plastic boxes the perfect size. One layer of PMs, I think it's five, fits in nicely then the next box sits nicely on top of them so they'll stack up really well. Better than the toiler roll tubes in a box that I've got at the moment. If I could get to an Ikea I'd buy their DVD holder and do what others have done but it's about 2.5 hours drive away and we never go that way.

Well done on winning the challenge, hadn't heard of ICS so will check it out!
Can anyone point me in the direction of a get well soon card I could make? Wether it is one you have made or similar please? Preferably basic as I don't want to be insensitive?

Can you send a slightly humourous one Rusty? What about the freebie digi image grumpy looking nurse with the sentiment "I'm sorry, the nice nurse is on vacation". I've got it if you haven't. Other than that the only thing I can think of is any nice male orientated image with an appropriate message.

Right, off to get my bum into gear.

Wanna B - I've looked at your card & commented, on your blog - I hope you don't mind. I think that happens to all of us from time to time (every card I make) but as Toms Mum says we are all our own worst critics.

I've just blogged a couple of cards if anyone fancies a look.........

Thanks marg I don't know any of his interests other than drinking but that's not a good idea with his blood sugar levels! Saw post by toms mum and think something like that would be ok.

Thanks tomsmum will go and see if I can find the dig image.

Thanks for your replies ladies, they're very much appreciated and have been really helpful. I've taken the decoupage off of the easel base and tried it as a "normal" card. It looks a lot better, so I think you were right too much green especially the shade I was using. I'm going to try a gold worded sentiment on a white mount as well! It definately won't ever be my favourite card but it looks heaps better.

I'm going to blog hop tonight (hopefully), so will leave comments on everyones blogs as I go.
