Morning everyone,
Just popping in for a quick catch up and to have a little look at what you've been making!
Tiredmom - Bless your lo, I know what you mean, we worry so much and only want to make things better, I'm actually at the point where I even feel guilty going to work, I end up spending a ££'s on my lunchbreak buying little presents!
I'm quite pleased with myself I've built up a selection of freebie images and I've also made a Thank you card which I hope to blog at some point today.
Rainmac - I love your little seed packets, the image is so cute!
Dragonllew - Super cards, I love the dragon image.
The wife - Awwww how sweet is your card, cute image, your colouring is fab!
Marg - lovely birthday cards.
Melissa - Lovely swap card, I really like the October Afternoon papers.
Craftyjuju- Gorgeous birthday card, your nephew will love it!

choccy I am just popping on to say sorry I got confused with the CP swap and thought I was sending to Melissa when in fact I am sending to you! doh, luckily I havent sent it yet!! would you like your card signed or unsigned?
Tired mom sending hugs to you, sounds like you need them! xx
I popped into Dunelm yesterday as I wanted a bigger waste bin for my craftroom, I had a little one but it used to get full in a matter of hours so I have a big (pink!) kitchen style one now. also of course I had to look at the craft stuff (would be rude not to) and ended up buying 2 of the 8x8 DCWV cardcstacks, they are still on sale at £6.49 and had quite a few left, I got Nanas kitchen and Citrus something. also a few little mini alphabet stamps to stamp quick personalised messages with, and a gorgeous Dovecraft fairies silhouette stamp set which was half price at £2.50.
About the Nellies embossing punches, I bought a set at the NEC too, and thought it was rubbish but there seems to be a knack to it, when you are embossing it's easier to stand up and give about 5 short sharp bounces on it rather than one really hard one. I bought another set of the bigger flowers after I discovered this and I think it might depend on the individual embosser punch cause these oens seem much easier to use. It's not very good that it may seem to be pot luck though! I had heard that Martha stewart did flower embossing punches too but havent managed to track any down yet, anyone seen any on their travels?
sorry for the mammoth post, can you tell I'm in a chatty mood todaylooking forward to the football later on but in the meantime hoping to get some crafty stuff done. I have been getting on with my cross stitch when I dont feel like making cards, I am working on a huge piece atm though so even if I spend a couple of hours on it it doesnt look like I've touched it :rotfl:
hope everyone has a good day and sending hugs to all xx0 -
 I've just gone back over about 5-6 pages trying to find the post about the Promakers and the Letraset company. Someone kindly posted a code for an extra 10%. Can anyone remember who posted it, pretty please??

Real life really seems to be soooo busy at the moment and I can't really keep up with the thread so I'll just throw out 'hugs' and 'well dones' to everyone again!

OH is meant to be staying at his mother's house next week as they are going on holiday tomorrow! I have taken advantage and have ordered a few things - including a rather large order from Wild Orchid Crafts!!! Hopefully with OH absent I'll have a bit more time to do some crafting!!!!
Rusty - hope you have a great weekend - OH has just gone to the post office to post your stash swap off - I hope you like it!
Craftgirl1960 - glad to hear your LO is feeling a bit better!
CGcockcroft - sounds like you bought some fab bargains!
Gemm - OH is posting your card off too - I got confused about this swap (it doesn't take much).
Ali - I finally got round to embossing on my big shot!!! It was a cuttlebug embossing folder that I have - I used the platform, one of the clear plates and a thick piece of card - it seemed to work okay!!! I really like the effects!!!0 -
Tiredmom - I know how you feel, we are in a similar position. My DD is going up to high school this year, but it is a huge school (2000 Kids!), so each year group is about 400. They have loads of classes. They found out their classes yesterday, and alot are not very happy because no one seems to be with any of their friends. I must say DD has taken it all very well though. She if looking at it, that it is only tutor groups and you dont spend all the time with the same people in high school. Hope your DS manages some gets some sort of solution.
Does anyone use colour on your embossed stuff? If so what do you use to colour? I'm new to all this embossing, the effect looks great, I just think it needs a bit of colour. I have considered using chalk, but didnt know if that was the best thing. Any suggestions?May - £251.63/£155, June - £108.69/£150, July - £157.45/£155, Aug - £104.28/£155
Sept - £110.80/£150, Make £5 a day in Oct challenge = £50.50/£1550
