Hiya Rainmac
Of course, no problem, here it is:
I have to say, it's the quickest and easiest soup I've ever made! lol
_________________________________________________________________
Recipe ingredients:
3 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
3 tbsp olive oil
1 pack bacon, diced
2 tsp garlic
2 tsp paprika
1 onion, finely chopped
1 litre stock
Sea salt and black pepper
Roast sweet potato soup with paprika and bacon recipe:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 200ºC, 400ºF, Gas Mark 6.
2. Toss the sweet potato with 2 tbsp olive oil, season and roast in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and soft.
3. Meanwhile, heat the remaining oil in a large saucepan. Add the bacon and cook for 5 minutes, stirring, until brown and crispy.
4. Add the garlic and paprika and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in the onion and cook gently for 10 minutes, until softened but not browned.
5. Pour in the stock and bring to the boil. Reduce to a simmer and gently add the roasted sweet potatoes, cook for 5 minutes.
6. Remove half of the onion and potato mixture with a slotted spoon. Then carefully blend the remaining soup, until smooth. Return the onion and potato mixture to the pan.
7. Squeeze in the lemon juice and season to taste.
Hope you enjoy!
Oooh, forgot to say, I don't do that last bit where you take half the mixture out, I just blitz the whole lot usually.

I can vouch it is easy and also very tasty. The only thing I had in the fridge of any worth was a pack of bacon and in the veg basket a very old punnet of sweet potatoes which I have now turned into the above soup for tea tonight which I will serve with garlic bread from the freezer. Thank you so much Sally it beats beans on toast!

What a cold and miserable day - Brrrr can't believe it is May, feels like Feb!!!
Sally - thanks for the recipe. have added it to my recipe file!!!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
Craftygranny - thank you so much for the beer mats - that's one speedy service!
Well I had a lovely shopping spree (and lunch out with a friend too!). If you don't want to feel too jealous then have a nosy on my blog!0 -
Congratulations on your win Rainmac, and to Dragonllew for coming top 3.
Thanks for the info on the embossing/small ball tall, your description is exactly what the item looked like when I googled it.
Choccy - so glad you liked the cards, and they arrived in one peice - which ever one you give to Ben for his birthday I hope he likes it.
A couple of people have asked where I have seen cheapish promarkers from. Once I receive the items OK - hopefully early next week, I'll add a link to this thread if people want to know. It is just that I don't want to recommend a site that I've never used, until I get the pens. The deal is 20 promarkers for £25.50 which includes postage.
Just got back from the Beaver Camp Fire - it was great despite it pouring with rain, but around 120 beavers had a great afternoon, singing around the fire and eating hotdogs. I was surprised how many songs I remembered from when I was a guide, many many many years ago.
Off to get a takeaway, and have a night of making cards, which I will hopefully be able to blog tomorrow.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
Well done Dragonllew! Can you let me see the link to your top3 slot please?
I'm following the Stamping Dragons thanks for the plug.

Fab to hear you home now Rusty. Bling up the zimmer or at least come up with some fab bag to attach to the front so you can actually carry stuff around with you.
Rainmac - congrats on your win
I've forgotten who asked earlier about Tilda stamps but I'm keen to get one (or a few) as well. Where is the best priced to get them? Or old ones on sale maybe? Don't mind as I don't have any but really love all the images I've seen on peoples cards.
Hugs to all
