Edit: Forgot to say I added a card to my blog, but I don't like it :(

I like it Rusty it is rather jazzy. It lends itself to having a magnet on the back to stick on the fridge etc. I also really like the fact that you spell Mom that way rather than Mum as everyone I know thinks I'm odd for spelling it that way.

Can someone please tell me how to comment on a blog. It seems to ask for google accounts, URL etc, what is it talking about?

Just a quick "hi and bye" from me - have a hideous headache which I've been trying to ward off all day but looks like it's here to stay. Am off to bed like a slummy mummy whilst "&son" watches the footie. I promised he could watch at least the fist half but I can't face it now.
Just wanted to say a huge thanks to choccy and Ben for our stash swaps which arrived today. Have held on to "&sons" because I just can't face the giddiness today so will let him have it tomorrow.
    TTFN!

    Evening all!

I can't remember who was asking about the powders that you paint on, but I just got some of the Cosmic SHimmer Mica Powders - and OMG they are amazing! You can stamp with an embossing stamp then just paint a tiny amount of the paint over it and you get a beautiul irridescent image that seems to appear from nowhere. You can also mix them with water to make the most gorgeous paints. When I dig out my camera I'll post some piccies on my blog. Not really made anything - just trying out loads of techniques! I bought some black card and it looks really awesome on that! I shall be on the lookout for more at the NEC (as long as I don't succumb and buy a load now!)

    SHimmer powders here

Hope all those not feeling fab feel fab soon x

    Hi everyone

Crafty JuJu - I love your sock buddy - are the instructions online for this or from a book??? With regards to what you should charge, I would add up cost of materials and add a few pounds (at least double) for your time. I have generally charged £8 ish for my sock monkeys and abit more if I am wrapping and tarting it up. The problem with charging more is that people don't want to pay it and get put off. They will pay it in a shop but not to an individual for some silly reason. Try for more and see what they say but it might prevent you getting more orders if you price it higher. It does look very professional though x

flourgirl - love the monekys and bunnie, they look great.

Rusty - sorry to hear you are in so much pain, hope it gets better for you soon. Rusty, I have the MS button punch. It is ok but I I found sometimes the cut is not as smooth as I would like it to be. The embossing is good though.

Hope everyone is fine today and if not then hope it gets better for you.
I am planning to spend the weekend in San Francisco so busy looking at hotels!!

...so what's stopping you coming then, you've worked out your route... ;) :rotfl: xxx

.... believe me, if I hadn't had my girls weekend away so recently, my arm could be twisted....

.... but I 'as a plan .... 6 months to work on oh for another "girls weekend away" in November haha :rotfl:

Thrifty - my journey is fairly tame compared to yours. I have roughly a 5 hour drive to get there, maybe if I plan things better in the future, I could get a £9 travel lodge room and make a weekend of it!

Mary - hope you feel better soon

Rusty - Your willpower is something else!!!:Dhope you feel better tomorrow, you sound like your really suffering loads today. Oh and thanks for the link to the gorgeous freebie.

Paddington - thanks for the tip about the Sizzix buttons - I had a quick google and the button dies are a really good price, so might request these instead of the button punch.

DTB - Hope you feel better.

Finally, DH came home tonight from a business trip and has bought me a gift:D ....A Purple Cows Guillotine and Trimmer and the new copy of Simply Cards & Papercraft. If anyone is interested, the magazine has a two page spread of black & white images and sentiments which can be scanned and used as digi images.;)

how can there be two and a half pages of posts since htis afternoon - you ladies should be crafting lol.

I am not a happy bunny as just been onto craft superstore to order a cuttlebug and it is out of stock - not fair am off to sulk in a corner. The pink one is in but I don't like pink. If anyone has lots of pennies and is after a Cuttlebug they have a bundle for £99.99 which a has an alphabet set in as well as the normal bundle of stuff. not sure if you are saving much though

Thanks for all the lovely comments on my Mom card.

JHB, I always call my mom, mom and yet everyone calls theirs mum? Must be a midlands thing maybe??

PNR - Thanks for that info about the MS button punch, I think I will leave it, you are not the first to mention that!

Wannaberich - I have no willpower ... I currently have a tab open with such lovely papers on from crate paper .... the cursor is hovering over the buy button!!

Nannyboo - I am sure they will be back in stock pretty quickly, they generally are quite quick at getting things back in stock.

Have made another 2 cards tonight :D .... one was simple and DS has claimed it!! and the other is the last mothers day card, only problem is my new MS punch around the page doesn't line up to the corners :@ Not sure if it is just me but tried it yesterday and it wouldn't line up, so left it then tried it again tonight and it did the same, will get OH to look at it on Fri then if it happens to him I will have to hope the craftbarn are nice people and will swap it for me? Anyway pics on my blog!

    !

I have signed up for notification when it is back in stock hopefully before I have to spend my pay on something sensible like food lol. Just been paid but it doesn't stay in the bank for long.

Trouble is I started to look at Cricut stuff to pass some time and seen lots of cartridges I want lol.

Is it Popkins who likes pink have you got a Cricut - they have a pink one on Craft Superstore.
