Gosh it isn't a good idea to have a life away from this thread as you suddenly find you've got a lot of reading to do. I logged on after taking DD to nursery and it is nearly time to go and pick her and DS up.

Firstly I would like to say a huge thank you to Thrifty and The-Wife, my packages arrived at lunchtime and I was like a giddy child in the sweety shop. Now the fun begins...well not right now but once the children are in bed.

Dragonllew - Thank you for the Pirate Dragon freebie that will be super for a two year old in a couple of months.

Hello to everyone else and those of you who are feeling worse for wear I hope the sunshine is cheering your spirits slightly.

Thank you all for the lovely comments re the cupcakes. I have had a nosey at some of your blogs but as yet haven't worked out the best way to keep track of them or how to comment but the postings on them are lovely and really inspiring.

Right I'm off to pick my little sunshines up and just hope that DS isn't in the thunderous I'm 7 going on 17 mood that he was in all yesterday. Apparently I'm the meanest Mommy as we only let him play on the Wii and computer at weekends! Wait till I tell him he is having is haircut tonight, oh joy!

Well I caved in and ordered the robot pack and the "muffet" papers from MME along with a cosmo cricket pad - "material girl" - can't wait for MUm to bring them up on Fri.
I haven't done much crafting recently although I have two mother's day cards to make! OH has decided to bring his xbox downstairs - supposedly so that he can play on the PS3 upstairs (he swapped them round) however he has detoured from this plan and has been spending time downstairs on the xbox so I have no space to craft.

Mary - glad to hear you're feeling better.

Paddingtondoo - Your box/card is fabulous - I love the colour combination of the teal and brown - they look gorgeous together. Great MD cards too - the second one is my favourite - great way of making a gift card.

CT19720 - your pirate card is brilliant - so bright and colourful. Your mother's day card is lovely too - the colours are really pretty.

Jailhousebabe - your pirate card is fab too - love the image and the background together. Congrats on your sales. Gorgeous anya card - love that paisley paper.

Thriftyscotslass - your ATC and card swaps are great!! Love the idea of using the heart card blank for the heart challenge - really pretty spring tones.

Choccy - I've had a promarker run out on me too - mine was the ivory one.

Louby-Lou-Lou - superb nappy cakes - I love the teddy with the rabbit jumper on - its soooo cute!!!!

Sunrise - congats on your sales - £60 is fab!!! I bet you'll get loads of orders as a result from it.

Popkins - you lucky thing - getting bits for your craft room!!! Sorry to hear you've been having trouble sleeping again. I keep meaning to dust my printer off - there's so many gorgeous images out there that I could be printing off but my printer refuses to work. I wouldn't mind getting a wireless one too as I've done away with my PC and now have a laptop.

Sammr85 - Hi and welcome to the thread!!!!

Skiergirl - fabulous waterfall cards!!! I think your F-i-l card is fabulous - just perfect as it is.

Flourgirl - welcome back from your weekend away!!

Dragonflew - fabulous sketch cards - my favourite is the first - red is one of my favourite colours.

Gemm - really pretty easel cards - your cross stitch looks fabulous!!!

    PrincessTiger - hi and welcome!!!!

Rusty - hope you're feeling better. That Mario cake is brilliant - my DS would love it!!!! Your mother's invites are fabulous - the gingham bow just finishes them off perfectly!!!!

    MrsBsBlog - happy Birthday!!!!

TomsMum - that's great news about your Mum!!!

Giggle - that cake is amazing - did you make it????? Your easter gifts are great - love the bunny!!!!

TiredMom - my son is exactly the same at the minute - I'm hoping its just a phase - he's 7 too soon to be 8!!!

Sammr85 - it can cost a fortune when you're starting out - it would be so much easier if there was one shop that sold everything at a cheap price!!! I tend to buy things when there is a free postage offer on or some sort of special discount ! This shop is cheap when you're first starting out:
    http://www.creativecraftworld.com/epages/62035749.sf
I think she permanently offers free postage now - and there's currently 10% off everything at the minute (sometimes she does 20 or even 30% off). I buy most of my cardstock from her - with the discount its normally cheaper than everywhere else:
    http://www.creativecraftworld.com/epages/62035749.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/62035749/Categories/%22Bazzill%20Basics%22
flowers are also really handy to decorate your cards. She has some fab prima ones here:
    http://www.creativecraftworld.com/epages/62035749.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/62035749/Categories/Flowers

This site is also great for flowers and if your order just contains flowers then its free postage:
    http://www.sarahscardsltd.com/shop/213/index.htm

You'll also need your actual card blanks - you can fold yours yourself - which normally works out cheaper or I and a load of people from the thread get them from here:
    http://www.craftworkcards.co.uk/product_list.aspx?cat2=21
the packs start out at £5.00 for 50 card blanks which is a great price.

Lastly patterned paper gives an extra boost to a card. Paper pads are great as you'll get a pad of co-ordinating paper. Basic grey do a great range:
    http://www.secretcrafter.co.uk/shop-products/paper-collection-pads/basic-grey/cat_136.html
this site offers free postage too.

I hope this helps a little bit - when you're first starting out it can be so confusing - there's so many products about. If there's anything else you want to know just ask.

I'm really excited now as I'm getting a night out and having a go at cardmaking. I've found a stamping workshop that meet's once a month and the meet is tonight. You can take your own stuff, courtesy of thrifty and the-wife, or buy some of theirs. You can use their ideas and all their tools, stamps etc for £3.50. It is run by someone who is a Stampin Up demonstrator and those are the products they mainly use I think.

    Skiergirl I'll PM you.

Freebie at digistamp boutique - not one for Craftygran though as it's a meece .

Does anyone have a recipe for spitting yourself into 3? I have some work that needs doing by the end of March I've worked out it will take me about 50 hours to do and I have about 30 mins a week to do it in over the next 3 weeks - any suggestions??? :rotfl:.

I'm on the verge of taking the head of customer services to HR as the work is for her and when I queried how much there was I copied my line manager in so she knew what I was doing and the problems I was having and apparantly I shouldn't have done!!! I've raised another matter today (which I was told wouldn't happen) so will see what comes of that - expect she'll have conveniently forgotten what was said. My line manager has been telling me not to worry all day today - I think she's confusing me with someone who gives a monkeys :D

You're all busy as usual............don;'t know how you do it...............;)

Happy Birthday Mrs. B:j and hugs (((((:o)))) for anyone who's not feeling up to par.
Luckily I'm feeling better than I was and at this rate I'll feel a bit of a fraud going to doctors tomorrow.........still I'll go anyway. Ears are always worth checking out.
Not done much today except clear up some rubbish and wrap MIL's box of cards up ready to post next week for Mothers Day............another job done.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Giggle - that cake looks fabulous!! lovely easter gifts.

Pepop - Now if they made a red on then I would be doing a popkins and buying it to get rid of my snot green!! I have no worries about green and I love green but I also love red! the 2 colours are my favourite! plus DS would love me to have a red cuttlebug as his favourite colour is red!

Rusty do you think if we set up a petition they would make us one each :rotfl:

Melissa when my old printer died on me I got and Epson wireless one - its fantastic if you've got a laptop. (although that's assuming the cats don't kill it for making them jump all the time :D)
