Morning Ladies :D I'm happy got my weeks shopping done & all put away before 8am :T Last night after work I decided I wanted to get it done without the kiddies & not after work tonight at 10pm so decided to get up at 6am & go get it done . My hubby had no faith, he didn't think I'd get up or get back in time for him to go out to work at 7.30am...I showed him :rotfl::rotfl: I've treated the kiddies to the new Chipmunck film as we've not been anywhere all week so I'll be watching that later :D

Have I missed the challange details again?? I keep seeing people say they have done their 'Wings' challange card?!

Also is ATC the card swap? Sos for being a bit thick today....I did get up early! :rotfl:

Hassy - I'm glad you asked what LMAO means because I was wondering too :D
Gemma85- sorry this is O/T but I made a few items of jewellery last night, they are nowhere near as good as craftyjuju's though! I think I will have to get a lot better if I ever hope to selll any of them :rotfl: I'll share pics once I make something thats not quite so embarrasing :D

Gemma85 - I bet your jewellery is brill, can't wait to see pics :) I bet their better than mine, I've only mastered the memory wire so far, I'm so wanting to try & make a charm bracelet, I've got everything I need, just need to find the time!
    :wave:Hi, I have a passion for crafting.......I'm always up to something :rotfl::rotfl:

:j I have found the key to weight loss.....ZUMBA :j

nestie fans... I bought a set of large pointy rectangles from Little Claires when I was at Ally Pally at the weekend. I've just cut some paper, not card stock, with one of them and I'm fairly impressed with them. They seem very slightly fragile compared to the original nesties and for £12.99 you only get three. I didn't mind as I seldom use the very smallest of any of the nestie sets. Worth a look! I'm going back to see what else they have after payday.

Note to self: Wifey..... banish them there elves into outer space.

    Hiya Wifey! :)
I bought the same from their website and they came yesterday - Had a play to and am well impressed! :)
So much for 'Money Saving' ;)

Paddington if your dss was going to fly.. then I think that will be unlikely for a long while...
Gemm the cost of the table is a bit steep, I do hope you manage to get a cheaper table from which you can sell your fab stuff.. I bet your bracelets are fab... :D
Giggle Thanks for that, had a look and they look a very useful pressie :D
Rightio, I am going for a brew and then make myself useful.. TTFN
Self imposed crafty stash ban: started again 22/8/10 1 whole month stash free!
I must not buy stash, I must not buy stash, I must not buy stash! :o

    Morning guys

Very bleary eyes here as Erin was awake most of the night with raging temperature and ended up with her in our bed and DH on the sofa. She is now feeling better, probably because she is dopped to the eyeballs, and I am on my 4th strong coffee with no effect!

Hassy & PONR - I am so pleased to now know what LMAO as I too was sat there working out all possibilities, I will confess to also being confused by the B bit for about 30 seconds. But you both gave me my first chuckle of the morning so thank you.

Once DS off to school I'm going to have a look at the poppicrafts site thanks Gemm as I DOOO need ribbon.

    Right now where's that coffee.

    Good morning all!

It's still a bit early for me, so please excuse my forgetfulness, I read what seemed like hundreds of pages last night.

Hassy - I cut the FF bear and backing pieces on my recent cards with my woodware guillotine using the 'deckle edged' blade. It was an attempt to diguise the fact that I can't cut straight even with a guillotine! I think you can get Nesties with the same effect but the blade is cheaper.

Wings is the current challenge topic on here, it runs until Sunday 25th April. You can either put your card on here or a link to your blog telling me (& everyone else) where to find your entry. I'll post another subtle reminder nearer the time.

    ***********************

Gemma & Louby - Please don't lynch me but could you work out some way of sharing a table, if your goods compliment rather than compete? Or maybe that's not allowed by the organisers........(runs off to hide behind the sofa again........)

Glad you mentioned the table share. That was my first thought but I didn't know if it was a no no in crafting circles, makes perfect sense to me. But I'll let you get smacked legs if its a no no.

If I've done this right here is my entry for the wings challenge. If not then here it is http://taylormadecrafts.blogspot.com/2010/04/my-first-easel-cards_14.html I'm covering all basis I'm afraid. I'm so tired my brain is a foggy mush.

Can I pleade adopt your Grandad?

Welcome to the friendliest thread where everyone is only too happy to spend each others money!

I'm very new to card making and seem to be finding that not knowing what you are doing is part and parcel of card making.

Please don't just lurk but do post as it is a lovely place to be and full of wonderful ideas. I know most of the people on here have cuttlebugs but a few do have Big Shots and I get the impression they are much of a muchness.

  • Morning everyone. Hope you're all well. I'm getting ready to take the kids skating along the seafront this morning - I've been up since silly o'clock, so perhaps there's something in the air? I didn't come on here, I was a good girl instead and did my ironing and dusting, just need to vacuum now and I'm done for the day.

    Hassy & PONR
    - LOL or should that be LMAO, nice to have a giggle 1st thing

    Jowri
    - Hello and welcome

Tired Mom - sorry you've had another bad night. Why is it that kids are always ill at night?? Hope you manage to get some rest today.x

    Thnak you Tired Mum,,

you could adopt Grandad but unfortunately he is not with us anymore I think thats why I started card making, it was sat in the cupboard doing nothing, I've just discovered the embossing side of it and love the effect it gives,

Any way I'm Jo married with 2 children age 6 and 8 I enjoy all crafts ( as dh rolled his eyes when I announced I was going to start card making) I have also dabbled in jewellery making and cross stitch, but have to say I'm really enjoying the card making its nice to give something you have personally made,
    take care
