Well I have been out with all my children for an all you can eat Indian/Thai buffet. DD doesn't do that cuisine so ate nothing but the rest of us def got out monies worth. DD did eat before we left just incase you were wondering. DS is back to uni next week & kids back at school too so I'll be able to veg out all day!!!
With regards to school fayres & fetes I too am secretary of the school PTA & we charge just £10 for a table. OK it's only 2-4 pm but manic for those 2 hr slots. We have a paint your own pottery lady come who is always busy, & I have again booked our local ice cream van who gives us 10% so last year we got £40 from him, lush ice cream with nuts, mallows & sauce of all flavours/colours.
We hope to have a party bag favour stall & jewellery maker but not yet heard back from them so I def would consider dropping a letter c/0 school PTA giving your info & asking if they contact you once an event arises.
Sorry VERY off topic.0 -
I cant wait to see it my grandson is 8 so he will enjoy it
but not as much as me
One to look out for on dvd when it comes out if he hasn't seen it is Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, my DS is 7 and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The other one that is coming out at cinemas in the summer that looks great is The Last Airbender.
Those of you with boys in the family I can highly recommend the Beast Quest books, DS isn't able to read them himself yet but we read them to him and he loves them.

I will look for the books as well as he is now getting really good with his reading and between us reading im sure he would like themI Love My Computer Because My Friends Live In It0 -
Hogshead - That's what we charge as well and seems to be pretty much the standard I think. Like you say for those 2 hours things are manic.
For anyone interested in selling craft items I think the school fetes are definately a good avenue. Make sure you have lots of business cards/leaflets as well as people may not want to order there and then especially if they have children dissappearing in opposite directions!

nestie fans... I bought a set of large pointy rectangles from Little Claires when I was at Ally Pally at the weekend. I've just cut some paper, not card stock, with one of them and I'm fairly impressed with them. They seem very slightly fragile compared to the original nesties and for £12.99 you only get three. I didn't mind as I seldom use the very smallest of any of the nestie sets. Worth a look! I'm going back to see what else they have after payday.
Note to self: Wifey..... banish them there elves into outer space. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
