Hi Npsmama,
How fantastic, congratulations! She's absolutely beatiful, I'm very envious, I'd love to go back and do it all again, I loved being pregnant!
Can I be Aunt Sal to all the new babies born please? LOL
Sal
Hello to all the other ladies too - hope you're all well? Most of you seem to already know via my blog but I just thought I'd announce that our little girl was born yesterday!
She's 3 weeks early but still weighed 8lb6oz at birth and most definitely is not small!!
We knew she might be early due to my having excess aminotic fluid but we still didn't really believe it when my waters broke (especially DH who just wouldn't take me seriously when I told him :rotfl:).
The labour was only 3hrs long but much more painful than my other two which were much longer.
In any case, we're both happy and healthy.
There's a picture on my blog.0 -

Completely non card related but jut have to vent!!!
What is it with kids these days - DSS has just asked us for £200 towards his holiday that he goes on tomorrow - he planned this a year ago and when we saw him at Easter didn't mention about being a bit short - OH has also had a text from his mum (DSS nan) to say she'd had a text saying that he'd been trying to get in touch with his dad all week to borrow some money.
He has our home number but hasn't used it and he's emailled or text his dad every day this week and mentioned absolutely nothing - am absolutely fuming especially as he was supposed to start the training for his job (he's decided he can't be bothered to study any more) a month ago but never bothered to turn up!!!! Doesn't he realise how many people would be grateful for that job :mad::mad:
Anyhoo enough of that going to blog today's card (made it before I heard about this or it would have been thrown across the room) :rotfl::rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

And that's what I'm now going to do
I have a sewing machine but haven't used it since I made some cushion covers about 2 years ago - I keep meaning to blow the dust off but it's underneath a huge pile of stuff in the spare room and I might disappear :rotfl::rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Hi scattyjan, and welcome to the friendliest thread on mse - just don't read back over the last few pages, lol.
Seriously though, we love it when people join in and listen to our mad rantings, complaints, ailments, tales of bargains found, funny things the kids have done, etc. etc. We're so much more than just making cards, which is what makes this little community the nicest place on the internet. We're also more than happy to listen to your mad ranting, complaints..... etc.
Have you made any cards yet, or are you thinking of starting? This is a great place for tips - someone can always point you to a tutorial, cheap place for supplies, etc.
Gemma - £38? Wow, that's steep! I guess if you were selling jewellery as well then you might make more money, but that's still a heck of a payment to shell out.
Rainmac/mumoffour - enjoy your shopping.
padster - is that a loan, or a "loan"? How rude to expect that the money would be available at such short notice, and as he should have started working, I'm guessing he's old enough to have earned his own spending money for a trip that's been planned for such a long time. I'd be fuming too!
Popkins - how did your day out go? Hope you didn't need too many painkillers!some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -

That's what i was planning to do my dreaded purple ufo .
Sounds like my house my sewing machine is buried in the utility room at the moment and i'm scared to move anything in case i start a landslide. We are in the middle of a huge clearout so hopefully it'll turn up and be found a space in the nearly finished craft room soon.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
