I cross stitch too and I've recently got my own sewing machine and made a few diddy items - just been playing with it so far really :D I have PROMISED myself that I will get round to making some hot pink roman blinds for my craftroom, I will, I will, I will!

They're really easy Gemma - just a square with some dowel bits to hold it straight some rings and some [STRIKE]string[/STRIKE] ok cord :rotfl:. Just coz I had string on the one I made for the bedroom for 18 months :)

That's what i was planning to do my dreaded purple ufo .
Sounds like my house my sewing machine is buried in the utility room at the moment and i'm scared to move anything in case i start a landslide. We are in the middle of a huge clearout so hopefully it'll turn up and be found a space in the nearly finished craft room soon.

Just realised I haven't posted this weeks update - took a pic but blogger should be renamed useless B***er at the mo keeps making my "vintage" lappy grind to a halt :p

I have had a fab afternoon today took the kids to see how to train a dragon in 3d it was great then we went to pizza hut for tea so not done any crafting.

Congratulations Npsmama your baby is gorgeous.

mumoffour77 I also cross stitch and sew although not done much of either recently cardmaking seems to have taken over I think the last time I sewed was when I made Rhys's waistcoat when he was page boy last year, cross stitch I recently did a bookmark kit that I got for 10p at work but its still sat on my desk waiting for me to finish the backstitc lol I hate backstitch.

i wish i could sew, my mum is awful at anything girly. That's why i am not very girly i learnt nothing from her. I would have thought she did it at school. Poor dad even has to sew his own buttons on when he needs to. I have been offered a sewing machine by my mother in law but i wouldn't have clue and it would just sit cluttering up the house. If i need anything MIL does it for me. I bought a cross stitch 5 years ago to go on my babies wall, i started it but soon gave up and it is sat in a drawer some where.

Hi ScattyJan welcome to the thread

My pro markers arrived from Angel Crafts today, have been busy filling my chart in, only 52 to go lol
I have been looking at blogs with those ladies that use stitching and 'if' I can find my sewing machine in the loft I want to give it a try, trouble is last few times I used it I took ages trying to thread the flipping thing! Does anyone use stitching on their cards? And is it easy to do?
  • Hey ladies!
I dont post to often, and have been a bit of a lurker (Apart from the odd question or two!). I have just finished colouring in my pro marker chart, and I need 99 still lol I thought I had quite a lot, but obviously not! *Feels a spending splurge coming on!* I do cross stitch, when I have my bug - Seems I have lost both my card making and stitching bug, so if anyone sees them on there travels, please feel free to give it a kick up the bum, back to me! :) xx
So much for 'Money Saving' ;)
  • If anyone is interested in some nice craft chalks in pastel colours W H Smith have some for £5.99 - looks like 16 colours. Seems a decent price.
