Hiya
Lovely afternoon at Tatton except DS managed to twist ankle. You can tell it was genuine as he has hobbled all afternoon even when not thinking about it. Was supposed to be walking up Pendle Hill tomorrow but think it will now have to be on the flat.
CraftyGranny - Have you raided Asda Living. They have some wonderful things for a princess bedroom at really good prices. Erin is having a pink butterfly cushion as one of her presents from my brother, £4 and lovely.
Mad-Frog - These are the Tinkerbell stamps I got. She doesn't seem to have anymore listed but it may be worth contacting her. Be aware there do seem to be two different sets

Twinkle - What a small world!
Rainmac - Which Centre Parcs are you going to? We go to Sherwood and love it but have been to two of the others.
Marg - Congratulations
Dawnteabag - Thank you Thank you Thank you. Pink and cupcakes what more could a girl want? My lovely prize arrived today.
Can I just ask if anyone knows the cheapest place to get an MS Scoreboard as I think I like the sound of that one over the Scorpal.
Since some of you have mentioned the November NEC I thought I would ask if you have any idea as to what day you will go. I am in London on the Thursday and Friday but could make it on the Saturday. Is the reason you avoid the Saturday because of it being busier?
Right off to get tea and then need to pack. We are going to my brother's in Skipton first thing tomorrow for the weekend and then the little darlings are back at school Monday, ahhhhh bliss.............

Well Elliot seems to be over the worst of it now - he had a better nights sleep last night and he seems a lot cheerier - I am itching to get back to crafting - I haven't made anything in weeks!
Choccy - your challenge card is lovely - I love how you've matched the image to the background paper.
Sunrise - fabulous bus card - I wouldn't know where to start!
Craftygranny - Kaitlyn's room sounds fab - can't wait to see the pics when its finished!!!!
Rainmac - Your cards are gorgeous!! The baby card is so pretty - and you're right the image is perfect for a girl card, love the pink gem image too - the colours look so lovely together. And I love how you've made the circle embellishment on the boy card. What design team have you applied for - sorry I'm a bit behind? I love those basic grey papers too - I'll let you know if I find them anywhere.
TiredMom - your blog looks fab - I really like the name! Love your family guy card - we are all fans in this house and your princess card is really pretty. Sorry to hear about DS's ankle!
Angel crafts - welcome to the thread - I bought my first promarkers from you ages ago now - I remember I had to email you 'cos I bodged up my order.
Ali - welcome back!
Rusty - hope you feel better soon - I really should go to the dentists myself - I haven't been in years.
Marg - congrats on your win.0 -

Couple of questions. I know there has been a lot of talk about cuttlebugs, sizzix big shot etc , I wondered if anyone had tried the sizzix sidekick machine. The only reason I ask was I have seen one cheap, however from what I have read you can only use the small embossing folders with it, and all the ones I have seen are in a set of 4 ( 2 small, 1 medium and 1 large) so for each set of 4 you will waste 2 of them. I just wondered whether it was worth considering or if it would be a bit cheap and nasty. If not, does anyone know whether the dies and embossing folders are cheaper on the big shot or the cuttlebug?
If you are going to run with this crafting lark & this thread IMO you will outgrow the sidekick. I have one & it is fab for all my sizzlits dies & the narrow embossing folders but that is your lot.
You'll want larger dies, different makes & given that the sidekick is limited to the size of die it can take I'd plumb to spend more money in the longterm & get something bigger. That way you can still use all the smaller dies that you may like but also have the option to go large if you choose to.
Die cutting is a minefield. I have a sidekick & a Big Shot with a fair few dies but still that wasn't enough & I bought an expression ( which I barely use but love it when I do ) so once you get on it's hard to get off.....tred carefully!0
