I am shattered. It's ds1's bday today and hubbys tomorrow. I felt really bad but i didn't make him a bday card. I bought one for the first time in years! I just haven't had the time with both him and his baby brother being poorly. I counted we have been to the hospital 7 x in the last month. Still got more apts for this month.
He loved his card any way as i was one that sung happy birthday and it said his name, but he keeps playing it and driving me mad lol

  • Calling all nesties experts......... what's the difference between the large circles and the small circles and if I buy the large circles do I buy the large scallops to go with them? I know there was a site that gave these details and I can't remember where. Any advise appreciated.

Here you go WBR. If you scroll down you will find the sizes of some of the dies. Here's one example:

Classic Scallop Square Large S4 127
    1: 1⅛: x 1⅛"
    2: 1¾ x 1¾"
    3: 2¼ x 2¼"
    4: 2⅞ x 2⅞"
    5: 3⅜ x 3⅜"
    6: 4 x 4"

    Classic Scallop Square Small S4-129
    1) ⅞ x ⅞"
    2) 17⁄16 x 1 7⁄16"
    3) 2 x 2"
    4) 2⅝ x 2⅝"
    5) 3⅛ x 3⅛"
    6) 3¾ x 3¾"

I couldn't find the info on the circles but you get the idea from the above. The small set starts a bit smaller, i.e. 7/8" is smallest die. The large set has1 and 1/8" as the smallest. I'm not good at maths but the large set fits between the dies of the small set IYSWIM. Just depends on what size you want your smallest or largest die to be but only 1/4" difference anyway.

And yes, if you buy the large circles you buy the large scallops to go with them. When I bought mine one of the sites I looked at gave a list of which sets went with each other. If I find it I'll pop a link on.

Sorry if this is garbled, I'm just about off to bed and probably not explaining things too well.
  • Thanks Tomsmum. I should be going to bed, but am sorely tempted by the offer Oyster Stamps is running.

OK WBR - I found it, lucky it was the first one I tried.

Click on whichever set you're interested in and it will give you the co-ordinating ones.

    HTH.

Don't forget Louby-lou's post above, Oyster Stamps 4 x Nesties for £55 and free p+p until Sunday. That's probably the best offer you'll see.

Sorry WBR, posted at the same time, you've obviously seen Louby's post!

Hi, hope everyone's ok? Sounds like we're not doing to well with gum infections and possible pneumonia... Congratulations to all those with guest DT spots though x

I'm just catching up on the last few pages (up to page 150 so sorry if i'm behind). Don't know what i've done to my neck but i've been in absolute agony since last night and can barely move it. Gutted as crafting is out of the question and I have 2 birthday cards to make then my new Sweet Tilda stamp arrived today :( x

Tired Mum - Another follower for you! Love your blog - it's easy to read, love the butterflies. Don't think you've got my blog "Marg the Hermit's Crafts" Link under my name on here. I still have trouble knowing some blogs if the name doesn't 'connect' with the name on here.

    :jGood News! :j
I've posted the address/birthday lists tonight - Please shout if you don't get one in a few days and you expected to get one, also if any of your details are wrong let me know and I'll sort it.

Ooh thanks Marg - thank you so much, you're a star for sorting the list out and posting it x

Tired Mum can't see my blog (link under my username) x

CraftyGranny Kaitlyn's room sounds like it will be fab! My room is hot pink, white and silver with the most gorgeous round mosaic mirror and pretty jewelled lampshade that sounds similar to the one you've brought x

Hi I had the same dilema (only worse!) I'd got some scalloped circles, thrown away the packaging so didn't really know what I'd got & then decided I wanted the plain circles to match the scallops. I found a site saying what sizes were compatible with what - if you can hang on 'til tomorrow I'll find it & post a link.

Wanna B Rich - Here it is http://spellbinderspaperarts.com/classic-scalloped-circle-large-6-dies.html. They've got details for lots on here! Be careful as there are different sizes of scallop, large, classic & petite as well as dies sizes!!

Thanks Tomsmum and Marg. I think I'm going to order, then lock my debit card away for the next few months.
