That's what i thought complain to the dentist first and see how it goes.
Alicia is doing really well at the moment fingers crossed. She loved the flight out but her grandad was scared. She had metal rods inserted into her skull last week ready for her treatment that's why she has a week off now but her treatment starts again next week. She has gone all that way without her mum just her grandad and auntie emma and she's being really brave bless her. Thank you to you all for the concern and the good wishes .Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Promise not to laugh but my oh was saying it was time i bought something other than stamps and promarkers. He's decorating the living room so i ordered a new leather suite . When he asked why i said so he could be comfortable sitting by the window waiting for the postie to bring my stamps and pens. He did see the funny side. lolCross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

ct19720 - lovely cards. I love the butterfly one that is attached to the card. Which punch did you use to get this??? It looks stunning,
ali.b.123 - Those flannel bunnies are fantastic, I am going to make one each for my nieces. They look great and sound easy to make!!! Thanks very much.
Thanks melissa75 re the peerless watercolour papers. Has anyone else heard of them. They look good and sound easy to use, might be American though. They are around $14 a booklet. I bought a metal Wilton cupcake stand last time I was in the Us with a money off coupon for around 5 pound and gave it to my sister at Christmas. They are nice and would look nice with real or flannel cupcakes on!!!!
giggles - I like your post it note holders and they look great in the bags, very professional looking.
craftygranny - I would put in a complaint as they would contact you if the tables were turned. It is also unprofessional of her to behave in that manner and if you have incurred any expense, no matter how small due to their mistake then they should offer to re-imburse you.
Mad-Frog - fab bag on your blog.
Hope everyone else is fine today.:TThe E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -

But can't remember what I've readother than thinking that a rattling rusty flange must be painful
. 26 tablets a day is some going you'll need a trolley just to take them with you to the NEC :rotfl:.
Don't know what to suggest about your craft room Nannyboo - if it was me I think I'd probably spend half and keep half to have the rest done later.
Forgot to say thank you to Thrifty for my gorgeous blingy ATC - have posted yours and Lyndach's card swap this afternoon on way to parents meeting. For once the teacher looked more frightened than me :rotfl:.
I've put a few holiday pics on my blog - didn't add one of the washing am now on load 8!!! Next time we go anywhere I'm taking half of DD's and OH's stuff out of the cases so they can't wear so much they both took (and therefore wore) twice as much as I did
PS I won't be able to go to the NEC either
Gorgeous pics, padster. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

Choccy I have a delighted little girl here the postie paid her a visit. She came racing in the room with the post and said i've got a letter from choccy. She opened it up and sat reading and giggling then she did some rustling and oooohing and aaahhing then went out the room . she came back without it and when i asked if i could see it she said no cos i might steal her prize. Grandad said she told him she has some beautiful snowflakes. Thank you she's been in a very happy skippy mood all day .
On another note what would you do. On tuesday we got a card through the door from the post office addressed to kaitlyn it said they had a letter for her but postage had been underpaid and we had to pay 1.30 to get it so i paid online . It came today and it was a dental appointment so i rang the dentists to ask about it and the woman at the other end just said oh it happens sometimes and was laughing no apology nothing. When i asked to speak to the practice manager she said they had better things to do than just listen to people whinging and put the phone down. I wanted to go down there but my oh wouldn't let me i rarely lose my temper maybe once every few years but i was fuming and it's not a pretty sight. I was thinking of putting a complaint in in writing to the practice manager but my oh thinks i'm making a fuss about nothing it's only 1.30 but like i said she's 4 years old but even if it had been mine i wouldn't have been happy. surely an apology isn't too much to ask is it.
Craftygranny that's so rude. I would write back and complain to the practice manager but make sure that on the front is typed 'Strictly Private & Confidential' with no stamp. I bet the postie delivers during surgery hours and will have your letter in his hand and they will then have to pay the missing postage. If you can get all this typed on a label it will look like business mail.
I received a call at work today from a very stroppy miss. Our company does pure research and no sales and we have a static website with just a link to the offices. Stroppy miss proceeded to ask me what's the point of the website as I told her that there was nothing her company could offer us. Well, when riled, The Wife stands up, gives it to her at full throttle and then asked her for her line manager. Oh Boy, did she disappear quickly. As has been said before, courtesy costs nothing. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
been looking at scor-pals for quite a while now, then after seeing the MS scoreboard on QVC I wanted one of those, until I read some of the reviews on the QVC website of people saying the paper sizes were american style, which has put me off somewhat.
I am now back to considering a scor-pal but can't decide between imperial or metric. I learned in CMs at school so inches aren't my first 'language' (if you will!), however a lot of cardmaking stuff comes cut to inches as standard which I do struggle with sometimes and find myself converting it into cm's to understand it better :rotfl:
so my question is - who has what and how do you get on with it if it's not in your first 'language' so to speak?
sorry if I'm waffling...I think I just wrote down exactly what was in my head :rotfl:
Gemm, I've got the Scorpal :oBOTH:o but since buying the metric I've hardly used the imperial but it is handy for boxes. I do use extra thick card from Papermill if I'm going to layer up papers on a card and use a small ball tool for the scoring. It works very well for me and I saw the reviews on the MS board and one was quite unbiased but chose that over the Scorpal. The MS board is cheaper but Kitty Franken's tutorials for Scor-pal are amazing, the translator can make you giggle a bit. Check out Scor-pal's own website for more tutorials. For me personally, there are too many lines on the MS board, would you use them all. I don't know about the envelope thingy but then I do have the Enveloper board. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

If ever I wanted to fly to the US and give a real personal hug to Alicia it was when I read this. Craftygranny, you must be so proud. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
welcome back furry, I was wondering where you'd got to! shame you won't be able to go to the NEC, it would have been lovely to see you again!
rusty hope your new tablets make some difference for you, I'd forget to take some if I was on that many!!
ali your flannel rabbits are soooo cute! what a great idea
craftygranny how rude are your dentists staff! I'd be down there in a shot asking how a 4 year old is meant to pay £1.30 to accept an appointment letter? glad alicia is getting on well in the US
popkins I cant wait to see your craft room all finished!!
thanks for the scorpal info wifey, I am leaning towards the imperial one just because most of the tutorials I've seen use inches and I'd hate to get the metric one only not to be able to follow them!
some fab makes on blogs everybody!! huge well done to you all - sorry for not mentioning everyone by name but Ive been a bit pressed for time over the past few days, I do try and keep up reading on here and looking at blogs but don't usually get much time to comment properly until the weekendsdarn that 'work' place taking up all my time!

Gemm85, you are just down the road from me I live in Derby...I have the metric scor-pal but I wish I had ordered the imperial one as like you said most of the tutorials are for the imperial.
Have woken with a sore eye this morning, going to have a look at some blogs while drinking my morning cup of tea0 -
