Dragonllew - how did your OH get on yesterday @ hospital? Thanks for the tip about gems.
Thats for asking Marg he has to go back on Tuesday and they are going to attach him to anothe ECG and try to induce the cough and make him pass out, consultant thinks its his heart beat slowing down that is causing the passing out, if it doesn't work on Tuesday then they will fit him with a sort of mobile ecg that goes under the skin and records the heart for up to 3 years if they find it is the heart slowing down then they will fit a pacemaker. I feel more positive as the consultant was the top one at the hospital and he seems determine to find out what is causing it, hes also going to tell the GP to refer him to a chest specialist.

PONR when you use the Nesties it will cut the shape. You are then supposed to run it through again (with the tan mat) to emboss it. Instead of this you can emboss it, by using the embossing tool and running it around the edge (saves putting it through twice). You don't need the silicone tan mat to emboss the nesties (like I just mentioned) but you DO need it to emboss stencils.

I've just bought my first one, so I need a mat now.

I'm definately going to buy the sew easy! It makes lovely patterns.

Thanks for that, I didn't realise it wouldn't emboss without a mat. I haven't seen any mats here but to be honest Michaels and Joanns do not carry alot of dies and related things instore. With Joanns you can order online but then there is a shipping charge and you can only use one voucher so either free shipping or 40% off one item! I want both!! Is this what you mean by a tan mat???

Ooh - what's the 'sew easy' then???

PONR - Glad you had a good impromptu weekend - are you going to blog some pics for us? It never fails to amaze me that I cart so much 'stuff' about with me and how little of it I need when push comes to shove!

Hi Marg - I posted a very picture heavy post on my blog last night!!! I usually carry alot more if I know I am staying overnight somewhere and really could have done with a few more thing this time!!!!

    Congrats to the latest winners!

dragonllew - hope that you feel abit less stressed and that the next lot of tests go well for your OH.

Mad-Frog - sounds like you had a fab holiday. What a wonderful experience.

  • elysia2003 - if you want a mat, here is an original spellbinders one that seems cheap and free postage. I will order from here when I get home.

I dont know if its the same for the cuttlebug, but for the big shot, you need two of those mats.

I found this on the Spellbinders website in answer to using embossing on the Cuttlebug using Spellbinders Dies:

Create a sandwich laying #1 on the bottom and stacking the rest of the elements in order:

    A plate
Spellbinders Die Template, cutting ridges up, paper in die
    One Spellbinders Tan Embossing Mat
2 or 3 pieces of cardstock
*Cautionary Note: Using more than 3 pieces of cardstock to shim Cuttlebug™ will result in B plate breakage. When using Spellbinders Edgeabilities® card making Die Templates, shim with only 2 pieces of cardstock.
    Two B plates
Run through Cuttlebug™ machine. For added detail, turn die template over and stencil with colorant of choice.
