I'm watching QVC at the moment and a lot of the items look great to me but very expensive. What does everyone else think? Is there anything they sell that you would recommend?0

Hi Europa.
I tried to post earlier but MSE wouldn't let me. Anyway, If you look at our homepages (if you click on our names) you wil get loads of inspiration. I know I do.
I have a cuttlebug which die cuts shapes and embosses with patterns. I love it, but someone may recommend another machine for making invitations etc. It really depends on what you want to do.
You can get a stamp made with your details on re: the wedding (PONR posted a place where you can get a customised one on the page before this), and then decorate and emboss as you wish.
I'd love to see some of your cards. Get yourself a blog, and join in. You are most welcome - everyone here is very friendly and we are all here to help each other.
Someone may be along in a mo, with a better suggestion about the invites. See you soon. Take care. xxxI :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

I bought the Martha Stewart punch around the page set from there which worked out cheaper than most sites but the scallop punch is quite large and I've only used it once, so not so much of a bargain after all.
Find what you like and then compare prices, with other sites. There's grafton crafts, oyster stamps, glitter pot, craft work cards, craft bits.com. (just a few I've used before) It depends what you want. Perhaps you could google it, or compare the prices to ebay.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

It is a lot of money to spend though so I'll spend more time fuelling my Ebay addiction.
The good thing about watching the demos on QVC is that I can get lots of ideas for cards - as long as I can resist spending the money :rotfl:0 -
Gemma - I want to see a picture of toes & fingers!
Love the idea - I'd only be able to do one hand though - I can barely cut & file nails evenly. Sorry, I am running out of time to enter your recycled challenge which really appealled to my 'MSE' side.
Rusty - Well Done on your win:j What was keeping you awake? Can you have a nap before the children get home? Are you feeling a bit better generally? I hope so.
Well Done to our other winner:j
quicksave -
Tomsmum - make the most of the sunshine whatever you decide to do! It's not shining here:(
Europa - Welcome! I favour a cuttlebug 'cos that's the one I've got for cutting shapes. For envelopes I have a MS scoreboard - I don't think there is a 'machine' as such for envelopes but there are other scoring boards, Houghie is one that comes to mind.
Mad Frog - Welcome Back! what an exotic sounding holiday! Glad you had a good time - are you going to blog some pics to make me even more envious?
PONR - Glad you had a good impromptu weekend - are you going to blog some pics for us? It never fails to amaze me that I cart so much 'stuff' about with me and how little of it I need when push comes to shove!0 -

Hi Marg, feel awful!! still in quite a bit of pain with my leg, although thankfully not the teeth (or lack of!) I have this annoying thing where I could happily sleep on a morning when DD is at nursery, but if I sleep at all throughout the day I end up not sleeping on a night as my legs get really restless! Just bought some Kalms (night) so hopefully these might help me? what is worse is that yesterday I fought to stay awake all day until 9pm when I went to bed last night, but then I couldn't sleep Grrrr!!
Gemm - Your nails sound fab!! gems will probably stay on longer with glossy accents than they do with the nail glue! lolRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

By the way I finally managed to make a card last week, that's the first time since the car accident 2 years ago, I think my creativity is coming back at last :THonorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. Fifi - I love watching to get ideas and plus I love just looking at stash but TBH I always find the P&P charges very offputting and it's rare I see something so decently priced that the OTT P&P wouldnt matter.. IYSWIM!
Marg I have put a pic of my nails on my you know what
Rusty glad your teeth are a bit better, at least thats one thing! I hate not being able to sleep, it's horrible just lying there! xx0 -

Myz Glad you and Carmen had a great day.
Louby What a tricky situation - hope you get it sorted.
elysia Wow I think everyone should get selling on ebay - I can't imagine paying that for a topper WOW. Her stuff is lovely though. I think she's about to gain quite a few new followers. Can you let me know how you get on with your stencil when you buy your mat. I can't get mine to work at all - it embosses but you'd hardly notice it, maybe I'm doing something wrong
Congrats ******* gorgeous card :T
