Thanks Tomsmum - I had trouble lately with DST too! I hope you feel your old self soon.

Congrats *********. Two in two days - you're on a roll.

Flourgirl - you mentioned someone else loved the Cosmo Cricket papers, I've deleted my pm's. Can you remember who it was please? I've packaged some up for you both.

It's took me ages today to sort out my stash and arrange it in it's new home but nothing seems to co-ordinate as I buy bits and pieces here and there, and what I do have doesn't inspire me! :( I need more stuff! ;) Ooooh, I sound like my DD, I need new clothes I've nothing to wear, when she has a wardrobe full. :rotfl:

  • Can I ask what are the basic things you would need to start cardmaking. I would love to do it and bought some magazines yesterday with some free christmas papers in but have never done anything like this before so any help would be welcome.

    Just lost my post!! Grrrr.....

Well done to our new winner

Irlrip - Great card. I think it is just practise on the tape, I'm still practising too.

Tomsmom - Hope you start to feel a bit more up soon. (If that makes sense!) Great tip about the peel offs, never thought of that. Also a great idea for the tape too.

Welcome mummyslittleboy - basic things you will need are card (or prescore cards), double sided tape and things to stick on. You can use almost anything, from bits of fabric to pre made things. There are lots of people on here who will be able to give you some better advice. Take a look at our bl*gs for some inspiration. But beware, its addictive and you can end up spending quite alot of money!!
    May - £251.63/£155, June - £108.69/£150, July - £157.45/£155, Aug - £104.28/£155
    Sept - £110.80/£150, Make £5 a day in Oct challenge = £50.50/£155

Hi everyone. I'm still around and reading. I'm still a bit down and can't get motivated to join in ATM so please forgive me :o, don't know what's wrong but sure it will pass. I'm reading on here and keeping up and commenting on blogs. I still can't get time to craft, maybe that's what's wrong with me! OH is ruddy hopeless at doing anything with the puppy, even for an hour or so, and keeping an eye on her doesn't seem to include watching for her sneaking off to try and chew something - I obviously didn't train him properly did I ;). :rotfl:

Huge congrats to all the winners and the DT posts. And to the latest winner posted by flourgirl - well done, you will be so chuffed!

Ali Whatever it is I hope all goes well for you today.

I used to use peel offs (still have loads languishing in a cupboard!) and have always used a scalpel or just bent the sheet back to lift the corner as a start to get it off. Here's a tip to keep things in shape. Get some of the "magic" sellotape (the opaque sort that you can write on) or a lower tack sellotape, place it on your jeans/clothes somewhere and lift it on and off a couple of times to get rid of most of the sticky. Then place it over the peel off you want to use and lift the peel off off the carrier sheet. The sellotape will hold it in shape. Then place your peel off where you want it and lightly press down. You should then be able to gently lift off the sellotape and the peel off should stay on the card. Be very careful what type of card you do this on as it can lift the surface of the card. It works brilliantly on pearlescent card, just do a test piece on other card first.

Hugs to all and Happy Birthday Thomas.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I have that trouble with mine too!!

So sorry to hear you are still feeling down is it PPD? Puppies can be very demanding - could you put her in her crate while you have a bit of crafting time? then you could thouroughly relax.......

    Well done to our winner!

Happy Birthday Danny enjoy your party Hogshead.:j

Irlip - I still struggle with DST and have started to use Anita's Tacky Glue instead you get a tiny bit of time to slide paper about.

Hi welcome to the thread basic thing you would need to start are craft knife and cutting mat, double sided tape, then it depends on what style of card you want to make as to you would need, ie if you want to use stamped images you would need stamps, ink , something to colour with. hth just shout with any more questions as Addams said have a look at our blogs to give you some ideas should of said you can find our blogs by clicking on our names and then going to our homepage.
