    Hi all,

    Happy birthday to Thomas

Lyndach - Mad about cards has some really good cheap bits, starting at 25p but they are slow for delivery  http://www.madaboutcards.com/product.php/21421/735 this seems quite a good buy.
http://thecraftgarden.doyourownsite.co.uk/ these seem quite good too

Has Jellybaby posted the next challenge yet?

    Hugs to all

I have just caught up with all the posts. Can't really afford to miss a day on here:)

I have eventually got myself sorted with all the basics, I think, so I am ready to get going with my cards.

Did one last night, it's on my B***. I am finding it hard to position the card properly before tape is sticking to the wrong place:o:rotfl:

    I presume it's "practice makes perfect" :)

Hi everyone. I'm still around and reading. I'm still a bit down and can't get motivated to join in ATM so please forgive me :o, don't know what's wrong but sure it will pass. I'm reading on here and keeping up and commenting on blogs. I still can't get time to craft, maybe that's what's wrong with me! OH is ruddy hopeless at doing anything with the puppy, even for an hour or so, and keeping an eye on her doesn't seem to include watching for her sneaking off to try and chew something - I obviously didn't train him properly did I ;). :rotfl:

Huge congrats to all the winners and the DT posts. And to the latest winner posted by flourgirl - well done, you will be so chuffed!

Ali Whatever it is I hope all goes well for you today.

    :wave:Hello again,

I am making my own Christmas cards this year and I have bought some peel off stickers. Do I need a a 'peel off picker' like this? http://www.rainbowcrafts.eu/peel-off-picker-21720-0.html

    Thanks x

I used to use peel offs (still have loads languishing in a cupboard!) and have always used a scalpel or just bent the sheet back to lift the corner as a start to get it off. Here's a tip to keep things in shape. Get some of the "magic" sellotape (the opaque sort that you can write on) or a lower tack sellotape, place it on your jeans/clothes somewhere and lift it on and off a couple of times to get rid of most of the sticky. Then place it over the peel off you want to use and lift the peel off off the carrier sheet. The sellotape will hold it in shape. Then place your peel off where you want it and lightly press down. You should then be able to gently lift off the sellotape and the peel off should stay on the card. Be very careful what type of card you do this on as it can lift the surface of the card. It works brilliantly on pearlescent card, just do a test piece on other card first.

Hugs to all and Happy Birthday Thomas.

Can't see it on your blog but your nappy cake is gorgeous!

If your using double sided tape then just lift the carrier tape about an inch or so in the two diagonally opposite corners and fold back so they are poking out from your card/paper. Position it and check it's in the right place before putting any pressure on it. When you're sure it's in the right place press the corners with the DST exposed down and gently pull the "tails" of the carrier tape along and it should be where you want it.

Hope that helps but you're right, practice makes perfect.
