Thanks Mary - I'm in the US at the moment and I picked up a craft pack for the santa cutlery holders -they were half price and then I used a 40% off voucher so got the pack with all the bits in it required for 6 santas for just £2.10 - I am thinking to use them to put a chocolate santa or sweets in rather than cutlery though!!!

PepPop - good idea about putting the names on if using them for cutlery, would look great. I'm going to try to get a pattern from the ones I have and maybe do some other shapes when I get back to the UK!

Funny you should mention those as I am just making one now in between heating up chicken curry that I made yesterday!!!!

  • PONR - sizzlits work fine in a bug - A plate (thick white one) B plate - Die cutting face up - card or paper - scruffy B plate
Normal sizzix work as well - B plate - Die cutting face up - card - scruffy B plate
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Sorry I snipped you PONR - you could do rudolph, mrs claus and elves. (I remember one year I photoshopped peoples faces onto images for christmas place settings, my nephews where penguins and baubles - my imagination ran a riot, it was great fun :D)

Hi everyone. I'm still around and reading. I'm still a bit down and can't get motivated to join in ATM so please forgive me :o, don't know what's wrong but sure it will pass. I'm reading on here and keeping up and commenting on blogs. I still can't get time to craft, maybe that's what's wrong with me! OH is ruddy hopeless at doing anything with the puppy, even for an hour or so, and keeping an eye on her doesn't seem to include watching for her sneaking off to try and chew something - I obviously didn't train him properly did I ;). :rotfl:

Huge congrats to all the winners and the DT posts. And to the latest winner posted by flourgirl - well done, you will be so chuffed!

Ali Whatever it is I hope all goes well for you today.

I used to use peel offs (still have loads languishing in a cupboard!) and have always used a scalpel or just bent the sheet back to lift the corner as a start to get it off. Here's a tip to keep things in shape. Get some of the "magic" sellotape (the opaque sort that you can write on) or a lower tack sellotape, place it on your jeans/clothes somewhere and lift it on and off a couple of times to get rid of most of the sticky. Then place it over the peel off you want to use and lift the peel off off the carrier sheet. The sellotape will hold it in shape. Then place your peel off where you want it and lightly press down. You should then be able to gently lift off the sellotape and the peel off should stay on the card. Be very careful what type of card you do this on as it can lift the surface of the card. It works brilliantly on pearlescent card, just do a test piece on other card first.

Hugs to all and Happy Birthday Thomas.

Thank you for the advice, I will give this a try
