Happy birthday to all the birthday folk - my mum's birthday is tomorrow and next year I will have made her card myself :A

A quick question...I ordered some things from madaboutcards on the 4th when they started their 25p sale. I haven't received anything and my order still shows as "Awaiting packing". Should I email them or is this quite common?

    Thanks!

    Hi all,

Sorry not been around for a while, been a crazy few days

Happy birthday to Tired Mum and TwinkleStar and happy belated birthday to Soma.

Hello and welcome Flying Freshian. I ordered from Mad about Card about 2 weeks ago (the same day as Artydoll i think) and my parcel came today by DPD, so it is quite common for them to take a while.

Off topic now, i need some advice, my MIL has been on at me for years to join the slimming club with her and i have finally caved and agreed to go tonight. The only thing is she goes away to visit a friend every few weeks and i know i won't go on my own when she isn't here  What do i do? She said that when she is away she will go to one up there because apparently when you join you can go to any meeting.

Happy birthday Twinklestar, have a fab day xxx

KMS, posted your package yesterday so hope it comes soon. I think you are very brave to have made the desicion to join the slimming club, I think that is the hadest bit, once you've been tonight with your MIL, next week will be easy, promise ;)

This morning I applied for DS2 to start school next year, isn't it mad that you can do it so early. We won't find out which school he's been allocated until April/May next year but fingers crossed it will be the same school as DS1.

The weather here is yuck, dull, windy and miserable. We're having an 'at home' day today and am going to take DS2 to get his hair cut after lunch before picking DS1 and his friend up from school. It's karate tonight and then the first PTA meeting at DS1's school since before the holidays. Our chair has announced he is standing down :(

DTB, I can't imagine anyone at school or pre-school helping me with any crafts to sell unfortunately. I love your idea of card making packs, I would buy something like that if I saw it at a fair for me or for the boys to make their own cards. You could do other kits in the same way - bookmarks, coaster calendars, peg magnets...?

Hi, sorry been awol for a couple of days. Haven't had a chance to catch up yet but just wanted to say belated happy birthday wishes to Soma and belated happy anniversary wishes to Mr & Mrs Artydoll xxx

Been thinking about maybe going to Ally Pally for the stamp show 25-26 September, is anyone else here going (think Wifey mentioned it a while ago?) and if so on which day?

Take care and I promise I'll catch up later in the week x

I'll go what ever day you can get down, Rainmac
