Never mind - on Friday you can make it the first box you unpack, make sure you mark it so you know which box is the most important!!!!

Hello again - wow must be some sort of record - twice in 1 day from me!

"&son" has been busy this evening because his silly Mum couldn't make Word do as it was told. I fell back to what I know best and we turned to cutting and sticking for his party invitations. I was project manager - he did all the hard work himself.

Piccies on his b**g which you can visit via my homepage. On the left hand side near the top there is a list showing 't'other blogs of mine' - his is the top one on the list.
  • Great cards scatty, when we moved to this house 5 years ago the first thing i did was to get all the beds built and made up so at least i could collapse into bed even if all the unpacking wasn't finished

Been thinking about maybe going to Ally Pally for the stamp show 25-26 September, is anyone else here going (think Wifey mentioned it a while ago?) and if so on which day?

  • Hi,
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I went to the GNPE in Harrogate on Saturday with my Mam, it was so busy we really had to battle to get to some stalls but we still managed to buy lots of stash that we needed! lol Spent most of yesterday attempting to find a home for our new stash!
    Welcome to flying_fresian
I'm having real problems with bl*gger so I'm sorry that I haven't commented on anything the past few days, I'll keep trying. x

I've just came across a brilliant blog, it's kinda like the Free Digistamp one but it's got everything on it. I think she lists all the freebies weekly but I'm not sure.

    Super blog thanks for that.

I'm currently thinging along the lines of a pack for 5 cards - 5 blanks, 5 envelopes, 5 5 pieces of backing paper, 5 embellishments, 5 sentiments and a few matching bits and bobs - maybe with a sketch to follow - I could make some up to display on the day to show wht they could make.

    what do you think?

Also, I'm going to get a few ideas of thins we can get parents to help out with whilst they wait for their children at school events. E.g. for making coaster calendars, I'll prepare everything and then let the parents make them up. Has anyone tried this before? did it lead to disaster? Can you think of anything else that we could make with a production line?

Better dash - at work on my lunch break.

I think the card making packs are a brilliant idea, you could do ones designed for adults to do and ones designed for children to do.

With regards to having a production line at our school it would be an absolute disaster but I know some people on here have had real success so I think it very much depends on your individual school and parents.
Morning for me and evening for you!!!! Hope everyone had a good day today.

Tired Mom - sounds like you had a fab time at the caravan and it's like a little community there. I guess if you go often then you get to make lots of friends that also go at the same time. Lovely to go to BBQ's and have chocolate fountains at a birthday party. I bet it is hard to drag the kids home after all the fun you have there.

We are very lucky. We made the decision at the beginning of last year to buy a tourer caravan to keep on a site on a seasonal pitch. DS was reaching the stage where all he wanted to do at weekends was watch telly or play on the Wii. Our garden is tiny and playing out isn't an option. I wanted to turn back time and be able to give the children the type of carefree childhood that we had. We are on a brilliant site that is mainly seasonal pitches and statics so the children have a really good group of friends and there are always some children about at weekends. For DS he has the freedom of the whole site with a huge group of friends and we see him at food time. DD is still limited to within sight of the caravan or if one of the older girls who we can trust is going to the playground she can go with. We have no tv there and the children never miss it.

Right off to bed, got the children sorted earlier with stickers and card blanks so at least I'll have cards and OH asked if he could borrow my promarkers whilst I was out shopping so I will wait and see.

    Night all

  • Fifi - Here is my challenge entry. Sorry the piccie is so big but blogger is being another b word and also having a mare with photobucket. The cards turned out rather too busy but that is the downfall of putting everything you like on the card, I probably should have left the butterflies plain.

Right I really am off to bed now.

    Night all

That sounds great and much better for your kids than sat in front of the tv!!!

You B & W cards are fabulous and not at all busy. I think the butterflies look great on the cards.:T
