  • Hiya - hope everyone is ok.

Craftygranny - hope it all goes well for your sons.
Tired Mom - have a great time at the caravan - sounds like you always have a good time there!!!!
PepPop - sorry to hear about your OH's job. Hope he finds something else soon.
Mad-Frog - have a fab holiday, hope you don't get bitten too much by mossies!
Marg - have a great weekend in Yorkshire.
KMS - glad to hear your blood tests were clear.

I was busy making button bracelets yesterday - thinking I might be able to sell them if I do the craft fair in November. Found a Walmart that I can reach on the bus and then also call into Jo-anns on the way back!!! Just had a 50% off voucher from Michaels for next week so will be able to get me cupcake edging punch with that! I want to buy Mod Podge as well but will need to pack it well to avoid leaking in my case! At this rate my hand baggage will be heavier than my checked in case!!!!

I am now toying with the idea of buying a Cuttlebug instead of the texture embosser. Has anyone got any experiences on both to compare them. Anyone who has a Cuttlebug - are they worth getting?? Do they emboss and cut?
    TIA

snipped Bliss Hill is the one we really want to do as the kids loved the York Castle Museum. Did you do the dressing up like Victorians to have your photo taken?

No we didn't because my OH wouldn't dress up, but also there was a really big queue for it.

We did go in the sweet shop and bought a couple of 1/4 for sweets, the kids got dew jellies, and I got pear drops they were yummie.

We bought the fresh bread and some cakes and they were delicious, but again the queue was huge. The bakers opens at 12.30 so try and be the first ones in and then you won't have to queue. We spent ages just watch people in costume doing the jobs of the era - a man making pastry cutters out of copper; and a carpenter making a beautiful rocking horse from scratch.

There is just loads to do and see. One thing I wouldn't do again would be the mine train. We paid £6.50 for the 4 of us and all it is a a 3 minute ride into a tunnel, where you then watch a video/show shown again the rocks and then the train backs out of the tunnel back to the station.

If sure if it will be on when you go, but the kids did a treasure hunt and had to find items in different locations around the site (usually in the shops) and if you get all the answers correct they get a lollipot from the Post Office.

Sorry to be so off topic - will now go and make some cards x

I just looked on Youtube and there are some videos on there and it is also known as a Magic Wallet. I can't watch the videos at the moment to link you to a good one as my net speed is not good!!!!

Sounds like you are having a fab time.

I have a cuttlebug and have to say it was the best things I have bought. Yes initially it was quite expensive, but I have got my moneys worth with all the embossing and cutting I do it. I don't have that many folders to emboss with but I think they aren't a bad price and they are really easy to use. I've got nestabilities too (about 8 sets of different shapes) and use them all the time even though I have a craft robo. The cuttlebug is so easy to use, but you need to plug the robo in and set it to cut, and it can take a while to set things up on it before you see the end product.

    I love my bug!

Thanks for the info - are they very heavy??? I have ordered several cuttlebug embossing folders here which were reduced to around £2.10 each - was going to use them on the Sizzix Texture Boutique but I am thinking that the die cutting would be useful also and for another £20 on top of the Sizzix embosser price I might be better to get the Cuttlebug. Does it only cut paper or would it cut fabric and felt??? Can you only use Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders with it??

Sorry for so many questions!!! Thanks alot!!!:A
