  • Craftygranny - Fingers crossed the news on the 20th is positive news.

CT - Thanks for the details on the stamp will definately look into that. I have ordered Tesco's vouchers to buy the passports with at Ironbridge so it really is brilliant value. Did you get to the Maws Craft Centre when you were there as I hope to go have a nosey.

Tired Mom You have just made my day and possibly my week!! MMMMMMMMM Morten!!!!! Oh and the leather laces I completely forgot about them, I worked Saturdays in the kitchen in the Pancake Place at that time and I couldn't get my laces off so I used to come back on a Saturday night with my laces plastered in pancake batter , used to have to go for a bath to get them clean. My dad eventually cut them off me when I was sleeping :rotfl:

Craftygranny Glad your sons are being taken care of and the doc seems to be in control of the situation. Hugs to you all

Having a bad day this end, OH has been laid off from his job. It's been shaky for a while, half the staff were made redundant last month and his name came up yesterday so he's now a house husband for a while. He thinks the whole place will be shut by Christmas. In a way it's good news because it was making him seriously depressed and I really do think he needed to get out of there but I just hope he can find his dream job now. Off for a blog hop and I'll pop back on later.

Really sorry to hear this. This recession really is effecting so many families. Like you say though if it was affecting his health then perhaps it's a good thing. If he has been made redundant would he be able to get free training if he wanted to retrain for a different job.

oh my goodness PepPop so sorry to hear that. my OH is taking voluntary redundency (sorry about speling) as he's sure he'll be for the chop but he's feeling positive that he'll get another job soon.

I've updated my blog with your birthday card now :) I found my top 3 badge from digi doodle shop and posted but I'm not sure how special it is since it was randomly picked and had nothing to do with talent :undecided Off to check out your blogs you chatty bunch!
  • Sorry to hear about your OH's Peppop and Soma. It's difficult enough losing your job at any time of the year bu it must be doubly so this side of Christmas. Fingers crossed for you that they find jobs straight away.

Good luck to both Ohs Soma and Peppop.

Tricky week here too this week - mega busy back at work but worse DS2 has not settled in that well to school. We thought he was our mega confident and outgoing number 2 child and assumed he's breeze through! I don't mind tears at drop off but when I was told he was crying often though the day I was ready to give up work and home school!! Each day has been better though - it didn't help that there was none of his gluten free pasta there for him on Monday - in spite of me sending letters and emails the week before! I think he is probably worrying about his lunches so when he can trust them to get that right I think we'll be fine. Just glad he's only been on mornings this week and week and we've had some nice together time in the afternoon.

Anyway -enough OT stuff! Made a couple of Christmas cards which I'll blog later and am having a mega clear out of my craft stuff. It's mainly stuff I've never used (flip flop shaped cards anyone??) or bought when I had no idea what it was all about (masses of gold peel offs!) I'm savings good stuff for school and then freecycling old mags and 'tat' (all good tat though!). I've already liberated a little set of drawers which leaves me free to buy more stash I really like!

I will be posting to Jazabelle , Dragonllew and Choccy later. I've still got some clear stamps for sale over on CP if anyone is interested.
