Hiya
Hope everyone is ok. My sleep pattern seems to be ok now so can at least start to go out!!! I made a quick visit to Joann's Craft store yesterday which was very lacking on offers and no coupons for this week. However they have a great clearance section and I picked up lots of things for 10c, 25c and 50c including some plain MDF shapes that I can decorate myself and use for my door hangers - these were 10c approx 7p each! They also had a huge 12 x 12 DCWV design paper pad with approx 180 papers in it and very heavy but I didn't get that as it was £5.60 and they had a large pile of them so I figured next week it might get reduced again!!!! Today, I am off to Michaels armed with a 40% voucher so lets see if there is anything nice there!! I was thinking of getting a Sizzix Boutique embosser but was wondering if the thing would work ok in the UK with an adaptor plug - anyone know???? Also I don't use inserts in my cards so I guess I not be able to use it on the card blank as the back would look strange! Does anyone have one of these embossers?? Are they worthwhile?
cgcockcroft - have a great time in London.
Giggle - hope your daughter feels better soon.
Fifi Folle - hope your neck and shoulder feel easier soon.
Marg - I've just read your post about poor old Sam. I'm so sorry to hear your news, it's a very upsetting time when you lose a much loved pet. Sending you a big Transatlantic hug xxxx. Thanks for taking the time today to email the lists to everyone, mine arrived fine.
Scatty - well done on your win. You are on a roll!!! Hope the house goes through smoothly for you.
My foot has been playing me up again and the corn or whatever it is has come back as bad as ever so taking painkillers now to ease the pain. I think when I get back to the UK in Oct I will need to go back to the chiropodist and he will organise an x-ray as he thinks it is a problem with the bone. Not something for me to look forward to as I hate anything medical!
I just tried to get into Google reader to have a look at the blogs but it is not working so will try again later. The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
Big Hugs Marg x
Not on commission from ASDA... but if anyone from there is reading i am open to negotiations!!0 -
hey point of no return - the texture boutique is manual and not powered unless they have a special version over there!!
Also, i don't use inserts in my cards but emboss the front only so you can still write on them if you look at my home page and select the label embossing from the label list you will see some examples x0 -

LOL - thanks for the info, I didn't know much about this machine and assumed it was run by electricity!!! Even better if it is manual then!! Good idea about embossing the front only. Is it very heavy as I want to carry it in my hand baggage. Luckily United have no weight limit on hand baggage but I need to just be clever my choice of bags!! Will check your thingamijig now!!!!:beer:The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -

PONR- I have a texture embosser and it is very easy to use, the cheapest i have seen them over her is £19.99 online. I think it is great! If you look on my you know what and look at the silver xmas card with the snowflake background that was done on there
FIFI - great challenge!
I can't remember who asked about it,but i resize my digis using Microsoft Word. I open a new document click insert image and choose the one i want and it is there. You can resize it any way you want and can also put frames around it too HTH:)
PepPop thank you for the Colour match thingy!
