PepPop - love your dad's card, the image is fab. Can you please give me some foolproof easy instructions on doing the embossing with the nestie around the image, it looks so effective.

CT It was someone on here who mentioned it when we were talking about embossing mats - I think it might have been Rainmac (if I've got that wrong apologies). When you cut the image out using your nestie, don't pop it out, turn it over and go round the inside edge of the nestie with an embossing tool (I used an old used ballpoint pen) to give it an embossed line. It was the first time I tried it and it worked great. Another wee tip I picked up somewhere to get the mat for it is to use the same nestie and draw round the outside edge of it onto the wrong side of the matting paper and then cut it out to get a nice thin perfectly shaped border. HTH

Jaz I'm so sorry about your tribunal. It sounds like a complete injustice.

Rainmac Hope you have great fun with the baby today. I'm about halfway through your book and I'm really enjoying it. I'm at the bit about his father.

KMS If you look at the Tatty Teddy link I PMd you there's loads of good ones you could use for and engagement card. Try this link for sentiments - if you scroll down the right hand side she's got them all split into sections

Giggle Glad the mother was sensible and threw the BB gun away.

Wanna B - Thanks! Alee81 is on hols so I've 'commented' to that effect on the blog & asked them to wait for her return and tried to send her a msg on facebook I hope she doesn't mind I'd hate her to miss her prize!

IzzyWizzy - welcome I'm looking forward to your seeing your cards.

Thanks for that Marg and Tomsmum - I thought she was and was going to email the blog to the same effect, but wasn't sure, so thought I'd post on here first. It would be such a shame for her to have missed out. I feel really bad about it because I saw it the other week and didn't post cos I thought it had been posted! I won't make that mistake again even it means a double post.

It might be an idea for the future, that if when we know peeps are away on hols etc, if one of us spots a win that we contact the blog to advise them so that the prize hopefully gets held? What does anyone think???

I'm doing my Crafty Ribbons Challenge (or supposed to be, but my mojo has done a bunk since it discovered that it was a summer theme!!)

Scatty What is holding it up - the house you're moving into or the people who are buying yours? It must be torture.

We're going to look at a house on Saturday.

LOL I think that's my problem!! The worse thing is, the last lot of ribbons were pants, but this lot are gorgeous. I had Christmas running through my head for them, but that's kinda been put to oneside and I'm now struggling. I've got to get them done though as I have to do another 3 cards by the weekend:(

I hope you hear something soon x

    Hi all,

I just wondered if anyone could recommend a long reach punch for ribbon? I have found a couple but the holes are only 6mm, I could do with about 10mm.
Do these exist or do people make their own holes using a craft knife?

    Many thanks

    Jill

I've got stuff from them before and didn't have any problems with them - I got an email pretty much straight away.

Hope you hear soon about your date.
