    Whoops, sorry to spam!

On slightly happier news my promarker pens arrived today! I've coloured a few things in, and to be honest - am crap at it! But I would like to read some tutorials and see if I can improve things!

Does anyone have a favourite tutorial they could show me please? Something very basic for complete beginners?

    Thank you!

Thank you. I will ask them for their reasons - I have to write to them, and they send them back.

I'm just gutted. I can only work a couple of days a week because of my illness, and because I'm not 25 I don't qualify for any benefits. It's so hard living off a part time wage.

It costs a lot to pay for everything I need because of my illnesses, and I need to keep my car running because otherwise I'd be completely housebound as I couldn't use a bus.

Sorry to be so self-pitying, this has really, really got to me.

sorry to hear your bad news Jazabelle. I cant understand why certain benefits start/increase at the age of 25! as if people under that age need less money to live for some reason? JSA for people 24 and under is about £50 a week, but when you turn 25 for some unexplained reason they think you need £65 a week! not that your costs suddenly skyrocket by £15 a week just for being one year older! I for one am glad I have recently turned 25, else when I leave work next week I'd have subsequently been £60 a month worse off if I was still 24!

it's madness and I cant understand how the system works. some people appear to be able to fleece it so easily, claiming to have a bad back etc then being filmed running around. and then there are people like yourself who are genuinely in need of support getting turned down left right and centre, it really gets my goat.

    </rant over!>

anyway I really hope you can do something to get the decision overturned x

on a lighter note I fell off the stash wagon AGAIN and ordered some beads. but in my defence I am going to use them to make stuff for my upcoming fairs, so it's not really stash you see... :rotfl:

Card Oasis Sarah does some stunning cards.

Another tute here and links to others she's done.

That should keep you going for a while.

It just takes practise. Also you need to know what sort of card your image is on. If it's a nice smooth coated card you'll be able to colour right up to the outline of the image and know that it wont bleed or feather. If it's an uncoated card you'll need to practise to see how far you can get, don't go right to the edge of the image with uncoated card until you've seen just how far the ink feathers out or it will go over the edge. Use a very light touch when colouring with PMs.

I'm not an expert by any means and my blending and shading leave a lot to be desired. I find some images easier than others.

Hope that helps. Have fun with your PMs.

Thank you, I completely agree! I still have to pay for everything a 25 year old does, it's ridiculous. I was on JSA last year for a few months, so yes, it sucked getting less! Then I got a job for one day a week, and they took it down to £5 a week!

I know, I have medical evidence, scans, multiple reports - how can they still turn me down?? :/ Anyway, I'm just going to upset myself again, so am going to try not to think about it for the rest of the night. :(

I've emailed Kelly on the challenge blog to let her know that Alee is on holiday. Her reply suggests she'll hold onto her prize so she just needs to contact Kelly on her return.

I really must go to bed, I'm creamed and I've got another early start tomorrow. I'll be glad when the puppy can hold on a bit longer. She doesn't always want to go to the loo just before bed so if I'm not up early there's a little puddle! Still, she's lovely and we're so glad we've got her.
