Dragonlew - thanks for that, I'm nearly done now, just waiting for the glossy accents to dry! Not thrilled with what I've done, but it'll do (that's such a bad attitude, but I'm soooo behind atm).
On a slightly different note has anyone used One Stop Card Crafts? I've just ordered a few bits from there as they have a sale on atm. Also WHS online have 100 sheets of OHP acetate (so nice and thick for cards) which is also inkjet printer friendly for £5, I've ordered some for delivery to store.0 -
Afternoon.
Hope someone is getting better weather than we are!!! The weekend is also going to be wet and horrible here as well-will start my packing I think then!!
I've made a few door hangers today for my nieces for Christmas. I bought the hangers in the US last time I was there but hadn't done anything with them!! I am really pleased with how they came out. I can't blog them as my niece looks at my blog!! So here they are:
Jazabelle - sorry to hear that you were unsuccessful in your claim. It's really not fair how they decide who can and can't have a benefit. When I worked for the local council issuing bus passes, there were many people eligible because they were on high rate mobility. The thing was though that some of the ones that we used to get coming in walked perfectly ok and one fella actually ran up the road after he had handed in his application. I heard of people that had lost a limb being refused DLA, unbelievable. Keep trying and like everyone else has said take it further. The most important thing is not to let it get you down but make you more determined.
Has anyone used shrink plastic?? I bought some recently and I'm going to have a play with it today!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
Soma - Sorry, you are on the address & birthday part but don't think I've had your email addy?
Wanna-B - I so know that pressured feeling!:( Your stuff isalways great & I bet these will be too. Sorry I've not used One Stop so can't help.0 -
Hi everyone. Well my first card is finished:D it's on my B***.
A big thank you to Melissa for sending me a bit of everything to get me started. So this card is courtesy of her:T
I know it's pretty basic for my first and I know I need a lot of practice but at least I tried.
I love my new "Woodware Trimmer" it arrived yesterday so thanks to Jazabelle.
Hopefully this is the first of many.0 -
 OK this is just a quick one to get everyone thinking, before the forum closes for an hour. You may think it is silly, but what do you think about us having a Secret Santa on here? I thought maybe we could have a small budget of maybe £5, it wouldn't nessacarily have to be anything brought, it could be homemade or even some of your stash.
Let me know if you think it is a silly idea :cool:0 -

It's not something I'd be interested in - sorry!!! I never do these things when I work in offices - would rather just buy myself something!!! Others might be interested though as I know some people enjoy this! The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
PONR - Gorgeous hangers. I love shrink plastic -it's fab for jewellery making, charms for your card and ohhhh loads of other fabby stuff
Marg - thank you that's really nice of you to say. I'm really not very happy with what I've prodoced though, but it's done now so I'm going to bag it up and get it off.
KMS26 - at the risk of sounding a misery I'm with PONR on this one, but I'm sure plenty of others will be happy to join in. x0 -

Izzy Can't wait to see your cards - do you have your blog sorted yet?
ponr Yep - glorious sunshine here :T Your door hangers are great. Good luck with the shrink plastic.
Irlrip Your card is lovely (I'm a bit behind with my blog commenting so I'm posting here for the moment). Really great for your first ever one :T0 -

Thanks! I failed with the shrink plastic at the first hurdle. Tried to stamp an image but it smudged and then the ink bled badly. I wanted to stamp an image then colour with pro markers. I tried Memento ink and Archival on the rough side of the plastic and it bled and on the smooth side the ink wouldn't dry. What inks have you used??? Thanks!!!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0
