Making cards - Ideas for beginners (part 4)

Soulie - we crossed posts. What if I come up with a jpeg and you get it flashing (if you excuse the expression
) I'm intrigued about your other idea - do you mean to put it on our b**g so it takes us to MSE or the other way around..?
Yep that's fine, though you have to understand it will need an element to be able to be made in to a flashing blinkie, if you get my drift, so I don't know what you had in mind? Either flashing text would work, so the first part could say 'MSE Challenge Winner' and then it could flash to '#1 {or whatever} and I could even put their name on it so it can never be claimed by anyone else? OR it could just have a flashy border?
Personally, I think the first option is better.
Oh and yes, I meant to take visitors from our 'you know whats', to here, you never know we might gain a few more membersI would love to display a bl*g blinkie linking back here if anyone does make one
I will make one tomorrow, as I am super tired tonight
BTW. I have just b****** a card, but I don't like it, again LOL
It's in the usual place if anyone wants a looksie.13 Projects in 2013 Finished: 5 of 13

Well its been a miserable day today - we ended up taking the kids to a couple of garden centres because they had a pets section. Brandon had a great time - he bought loads of cheap toys that'll probably be broken by tomorrow and Leo was very grown up and bought a board games compendium!!! I was a bit disappointed as we went to Dobbies - thought they had a craft section but this one didn't.
Artydoll - sorry to hear that you're not feeling better - I hope the images cheered you up a bit!!
Kms - your sidekick was a bargain - can't believe that you got dies with it too!!!!! I use satin, dusky pink and ivory for faces. My favourite colour for hair at the minute is sandstone, although I use cocoa, caramel and burnt sienna sometimes. I also love using my greys for hair - can't remember which ones I use though.
Flourgirl - your magnolia card is gorgeous - love the papers!!!!!
Jellybaby - congratulations!!!!!
Rainmac - I'm glad you got your images - I don't know if you've got any of them already!!!
Soulie - congrats on your win - I hope you manage to get the postage issue sorted! Your card is lovely - I love all the pinks together.
Fififolle - lovely cards - love the gems on your star one, and the purple and black looks fab together.
Craftygranny - did you survive the 5 kids??
Dawnteabag - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!0 -

Hello all :j
I'm so behind myself -I'll never get caught up with all your blogs and posts..........well, got neighbours furniture but not the craft drawers yet-bit of a relief really as I've yet to work out where to fit them in................lol Plus they'll need painting and not sure quite how/what colour. Took all day yesterday to sort out the furniture that we've got and arrange the bedroom a bit better so it doesn't look like the dumping ground it was.
Today I had a go at finishing off the two scrapbooks.......didn't get very far..........try again tomorrow.
Hope you're all ok and hugs ((((((:o)))))) to those who need themI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Evening ladies! Grandchildren, hairdresser and puppy duties have kept me busy today!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWNTEABAG, Hope it's been a lovely day for you.
Artydoll Sorry to hear you've been in hospital, I hope you start feeling better soon.
Jellybaby Well done! :T
Soulie Well done to you too :T.
KMS Well done on your sales :T. Glad you found the PM tute useful. There are quite a few knocking about, if you google promarker tutorial you should find a few more.
PONR What a dreadful experience. I haven't used Ikon but certainly wont be doing so in the future. Good customer service counts for a lot and when people read on here how you've been treated then I'm sure people will think twice about using them. If you want 10 PMs then Angel Crafts (oh b*m the linky thing isn't working for me, here it is http://www.angelcrafts.biz/product_info.php?products_id=3277 ) still have their bulk buy offers. 10 pick your own colours of PM for £15.45 with free postage. If you want 25 it's £34.99 with free p+p. Angela doesn't come on here very often but her service is very quick and they're packaged well. She also seems to have most colours in stock.
Craftygranny Hope you're surviving, I don't think I could manage 5 kids all at once, I struggle with 3 of my grandchildren at the same time!
That's about all I can remember, hope I haven't left anyone out. Have a great weekend if you've got something nice planned, I hope the weather's nice for you all.
P.S. Just seen the above post. Yes I'm in north Wales but originally from Birmingham.0 -
Hi everyone,
Just popping through, we have had a busy week getting ready for our trip to London and legoland tomorrow, I am taking my laptop ( after discovering I could get the internet via my phone) so I may be around, I'm hoping to get some craft shopping done whilst we are away there must be some craft shops near Lakeside shopping centre,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWN TEABAG sorry your card is going to be a bit late,
Well done to all the winners you really are a talented bunch and I would love a blinkie to display back to here,
huge hugs to everyone that needs them
will catch you all laterTake care Jo x0 -
Just popping in quick . I'm surviving so far lol but the same can't be said for my oh . The fun continues they are all her until at least lunchtime tmz. Kobie the littley went to bed and straight to sleep like an angel. Carly went next like a hell cat lol now they are both awake . Oh well hopefully they'll be back to sleep soon then the other three can go up soon.
PONR that was really rude of them. I haven't been in the shop yet but i know where it is i might have to pay them a visit and see if i can spot the rude one. I bought most of mine from angel crafts, joanna sheen, and little clares .
Oooh a blinkie sounds like a fab idea.
Melissa sounds like the kids are having a fab time even if you couldn't find any craft stuff.
Artydoll hope you're feeling much better.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
