have decided that I'm allowed one spend day per month when I collect my monthly kit - almost £50 gone! there was a sale and there were some stamps that I really liked! Counter reset anyway. Stay strong stash dieters.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Elliot - I really can't believe that he's one already!!! He's had great fun playing with his new toys - his favourite seems to be a xylophone - he loves bashing it with the beater thing!
We ended up going to Chester Zoo in the end. The weather was okay - I'm just glad that it didn't rain and it wasn't too hot either. I love the butterfly house - there's some gorgeous ones!
Thanks for the comments about the blog list - I'm really glad that it comes in useful!!! It doesn't take that long to update - sometimes I stress though that I need to get it done quickly so that it is accurate!!

The-Wife/Flourgirl - thanks for the info about the smelly powders - I used to use embossing powders all the time when I started cardmaking but I haven't done any for ages.

Wanna-b-rich - I checked my emails and I received 2 recent ones from you, so I don't think that I've missed any - I was just being idiotic - thanks for your trouble!!! I have trouble getting card out of one of my swirl dies - I just use a pokey tool to lift up the edge - (Rusty's idea sounds clever though).

Artydoll - hope you recover soon and that you're not in too much pain!

Kit1 - welcome to the thread!

Rainmac - congratulations - I hope you have a fab time at the seaside and visiting your Nan!

Soma - your card and gift bag are fabulous!!!!

Rusty - I can't believe that you were at the zoo yesterday!!! Your pics are fab!!!

Evening all! I wanted to let you know that I received the most beautiful card today from Dragonllew for the CP texture swap. It's in the usual place!!!

Artydoll Sorry to hear about the shingles, I've heard how painful it can be.

Rainmac Well done on your win. Have a nice time in Norfolk and I hope the weather is kind to you.

    Addams Have a great holiday.

PepPop Sounds like your meal was yummy!

Rusty Sorry, I wont be able to see your photos as I don't "do" facebook. Hope you had a great time at the zoo.

Happy 1st Birthday Elliot, sorry it's a bit late, you're probably in bed by now!

Puppy is taking up a lot of time so not spending much time on here and no card making at the moment. Thank you for the comments on her online diary (can I not mention the b word now???), it's just a bit of fun, OH thinks I'm quite sad :rotfl: especially when I posted the picture of what I bought her today :D.

I've got to go and research into pet insurance now, apparently a minefield. Never done pet insurance before but considering how much a puppy costs now  I think it's best if we have it!

Been busy this morning making a side stepper card using the instructions that Padster used for hers!! I am really pleased with it so far. I just have to decorate it now. Thanks for putting the link on your blog to the instructions Padster!!
Artydoll - hope your shingles clear up soon. The only good thing about it is that you have an excuse to just sit and craft!
Congrats to Rainmac on your win!

I'm off out to lunch tomorrow with my auntie - she is taking me to a place called Portishead so that should be nice.

WBR I read somewhere about giving the Marianne Creatables a few hard whacks on the edge of the table, it works for me especially with the flourish dies and also the spellbinders Medallions too.

Also, have a moan to Debbie Moore Crafts about them, you might get your pennies back. Do you swish over your card with an anti-static bag, it does help.
When i got my dies i got a bit of paper in there with them telling me this

As the Marianne dies are not made for a specific machine here are some tips on the best way of cutting out your dies

    Cuttlebug Machine
    A plate
    C plate
2 x scrap pieces of Bazzill (plus the card you want to cut)
The die face up with your cardstock
    B Plate
    then roll 2-3 times

I put the 2 scrap pieces on 1st then the die then the card i need to cut it did work for me hope this helps
