Haha - when I was living in India, we often had powercuts for hours and sometimes a day or more!!! I've lost count at the number of times I have showered by candlelight!!!!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
Welcome back wam, Thrifty, Soulie and Sally.
Hello Susan, and the other newbies.
What a sweet little dog TomsMom - hope she settles for you tonight, and there isn't any distruction to come down to in the morning.
Congratulations on your win Soma.
Glad you enjoyed your night out Rainmac.
Hogshead, thanks for the offer of trying to stamp some leather. That image is fab, and would be something right up my OHs street. He told me today that he was talking to our friend at football this morning about our leather anniversary, and she had told him that he was not to go out and buy anything leather as she had a whole stash of things in her cupboard that were unworn and unwanted and given to her by her ex husband! I'll be intrigued to find out what he gives me on the day:rotfl:. I will PM you in a minute.
Padster - enjoy your wedding anniversary, and going to Amsterdam. We are off to the Ghost Tour of Alton Towers for ours but not until Friday the 13th. Really looking forward to spending time with OH and no kids, just not looking forward to potentially seeing ghosts, spending the night in the dark, and having to stay awake for 7 hours unti 4.30am, which I haven't really done since my clubbing days over 20 years ago.
Picked my oldest up from scout camp today and despite not wanting to stay last sunday, he has had a fab week. First thing he did when he came in was to have a bath, and wash off a weeks worth of dirt.
Got to pack up tomorrow ready to go camping first thing on Monday, so if I don't get on again before I go, hope everyone has a good week next week and I will catch up again in a weeks time.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
CG sorry to hear your news.Hope the little one is feeling better soon. Hugs to you all.
Re the fundraising have you thought about beaded keyrings? There is a thread which has lots of info here. You could even take orders so as not to make up useless names & waste letters.
Re the grosgrain I bought a bulk load from an ebay seller linklin2008. Took 14 days to arrive from China but I got LOADS for my money.
Here is what I got.0 -
Just finished my Christmas cards, well apart from adding a sentiment to them, which I will do later, or I may just leave them as they are lol
I will post a pic here later or tomorrow, as my family and friends read my blog so I don't want them to see the cards on my blog first lol
Also got an image coloured in using my mostly new ProMarker colours!
But I am waiting on an order before I put it on a card.
Edited to add in: I used my sealing wax gun and stampy thing for the first time today, and I can see how addictive it is going to be!
