Hi Grapey, welcome to the thread. No question is stupid, especially when you're just starting out.

The answer is no, you can't just use copier paper. I assume you mean rubber stamping? And do you want to colour in? Depending on what colouring medium you want to use you'll need different card. Water colouring needs proper water colour paper, although you could get away with a card that doesn't fuzz when water's applied, can't help you with that as I tried it and it fuzzed :rotfl: .

Promarkers or Copic pens then you need a smooth coated card. Minimum I would say would be 160gsm but personally I would go a bit heavier, say 200gsm or maybe even 250gsm.

Pencils, I'm not expert but again I wouldn't go too lightweight.

If you want to see what us girls do then most of us have blogs, click on anyone's user name and there should be a link in "home page".

Hi, thanks so much for that.

I have ordered myself some Promarkers as I keep hearing them mentioned everywhere and they look easy enough for me to use (hopefully...).

I figured copier paper would probably be too thin and crinkle but wanted to double check about what I should be getting, now just to find a cheap source, I want to do LOTS of stamping!

    Thanks again, much appreciated.

It's very hot and humid here with greyish skies so I am sure the rain is coming, trying to finish my cross stitch I had forgotten how long it takes to do. Also making some more cards, I will catch up on blogs at the end of the week, I am struggling to get everything done that I want to do

Can you get to Rymans? One of the girls has just tried out the Rymans 200gsm smooth card and is very pleased with it. Some of us have used Craftwork Cards Digital Smooth, it think it's £9.99 for 50 sheets so more expensive than Rymans. It's 250gsm and wont go through my printer without help (I've used a lot of digi stamps lately), reserving it for rubber stamping until I get a new printer.

If you're using Promarkers you'll need a Memento ink pad - don't use Stazon as it doesn't like alcohol markers. Or you could heat emboss, that will keep the colour from bleeding past your outline.

Please, have some of our rain, it's done nothing but rain for over a week now (except for a couple of hours yesterday), light rain, heavy rain, torrential rain, you name it ......... do please help yourself. I wouldn't mind some sun in exchange :rotfl: .

I like the red and green ones too, I also like the purple one but maybe with out the pink flower, so it's just 2.
